A Plead for Peace and Calm

Guys and Gals,

I have been sitting back over the last several weeks and have watched all the in fighting, out fighting and general all around meanness going on.

It has GOT TO STOP. Name calling, accusing, tattling and bitching isn't going to make this a welcome home to enjoy. If every other post is upsetting someone or belittling someone else's opinion, thought or color of their ISIS, people are going to stop coming here.

Frankly, it's making it worse for SW because this forum has been hijacked by constant flaming and arguing. I'm here for puzzles, riddles and friends... if I wanted a bitch fest, I would go home for Christmas.

Seriously, everyone take a deep breath. Think before you post (here or afar - as my mother used to say 'We dress you up, we take you out and LOOK HOW YOU ACT!")

No one needs to reply.
No one needs to agree.
No one needs to tell me the quickest way to hell because I'm wrong and they are right.

But for the love of all that is still good in this world (and for the love of SonicWarp and puzzles)...

I agree, although everything has seemed a bit calmer here in the past week now all "discussions" on recent announcements have died down. lol

That said, on the issue of making things worse for SW, I think people who decide to post on other forums should think before they post, and if they decided that it's too much effort to think then perhaps they shouldn't start affiliating themselves with SW and this forum.
For instance...

nice work unfiction ..you ruined yet another part of the isis adventure .

Doesn't exactly show the poster, us or SW is in the best light, does it? Yeh, unfiction haven't exactly been the most co-operative in the past, but there's nothing any of us or SW can do about it. Telling people you hope they die isn't exactly going to sort it out
(offtopic: maybe the solver didn't realise until after they solved it, if someone posted a new riddle in the "Other Puzzles" section here, I wouldn't question it's origins... Im a puzzler, so I'd just try to slove it, I wouldn't go looking for reasons why I shouldn't.)

Having quickly read through the whole topic (that our own evilkeen started, I believe in order to promote the Ramisis), I see only 1 post that could be considered "bad", infact the rest seems to be pretty much the same sorts of discussions that we have here in our own Ramisis thread, so what's the problem? Going by that post, if I were them I'd say over there rather than come here... it's not exactly inviting.

I find it embarrasing to be a member of this forum when I see posts like this in other forums as it implies it is the view of all of us here... but it's not.

Sorry if you think this post ended up going against what you said, I debated sending a PM but didn't because I thought (rightly or wrongly) that it fitted in nicely with you comment about making it worse for SW, and that I though it applied to everyone here... ie. such posts either here or in other forums add nothing in any way, shape or form to the adventure and are clearly just going to make SWs job of attracting others to the adventure much more difficult.

Too bad this was done outside the actual adventure. Sorry that someone used you to gain info they couldn't do themselves. This really stinks for those of us that are working so hard at the ISIS forum to play this game.

With that being said, perhaps some of you would like to join us on the ISIS adventure. It's full of puzzles, riddles and mysteries just like these. We would love to have more members helping solve the riddles.

Won't you please join us? It would seem to be right up the alley of most of you. The ISIS I and ISIS II (Ramisis) are out now with ISIS III in pre-production and more info coming soon. We also have a pre-buy program called the 500 Club that will allow you to beta test the new Sonic Warp puzzles and see what goes into make quality puzzles like this.

I have gone back and edited my posts to remove comments that in hindsight may have been more damaging then I intended. I will attempt to keep my comments on the constructive side when voicing my opinions even when those opinions aren’t the same as others.

you should settle down....you would,, if you saw the email i got from PUZZ and Ade.....be very carefull whose side you decide to be on.....

Puzz is more inline with me than with you be sure of that.....and he thinks having to disqualify members for releasing info there would be harsh...for now...he told me he has been fighting them for 2 years and the admins tell him to "pi** off"...

Edit: i had to come back i remember he did say that most of those cheaters wander over here eventually and it is a good source of advertisement for him..free ads.. ..oh and we all know how much revenue the youtube videos drummed up for SW...so its not ALL bad

i have apparently become the focus of anger since the membership fee discussions..probably before that...i try to be pro SW to gain popularity with my fellow adventurers...and to gain credibility on the forum...if you guys dont think my efforts are for the betterment of the adventure ,then why bother?.

we have 500 club members and FORUM MEDIATORS as members there...i guess i am the only one who cares...let them circle PUZZ like a pack of rabid wolves....i am tired of defending myself for doing things YOU should be doing...i dont want to win..i just want the puzzles and the fun....if you thought you could win and wanted to try to ..you would be furious about the spoilers....if your not mad...you probably wrote them....

i am going to give you all a early christmas gift......a break from me.....ya ya i know...whooo who......i just hope someone will pick up the torch...i will be watching but you all need time to cool off ...i am not a bad guy....

Due to Free Speech laws, this is pointless... a waste of pixels. You can't stop people posting stuff elsewhere. If you did, they'd post it somewhere else again. Ignore em. The nearest comparison I can think of is TV show / movie spoilers. They are all over the internet - if you don't want to know, it's still possible to avoid them!
