Confused, In need of help

Hello Everyone! This is my first post on this forum, and as far as I can tell, it looks like you guys have a fantastic community going here!

So, my issue is this, I have successfully decoded the Ramisis clues, but that's about it. They don't seem to help me very much. I have definitely gotten the ball out of the starting position, as I can turn the top two layers both clockwise and counterclockwise, and I can hear the ball swirling around in a circular motion. The issue is, I have already reached the elevator twice, or it at least seemed as much, but no matter what I did it wouldn't unlock, and I ended up back in the "swirling" area. Am I missing something? Is there any advice you can give?

EDIT: I have a G2, if that matters. I have also successfully solved the original ISIS, twice.

Once you are in the channel in the centre you still need to get the bb to another area but you are very close

Well, me too!

I'm in the channel. I also think I have found the way into the base. However when I turn the placenta, it jams at about a quarter of a turn. Do you know if it is possible to have a jammed puzzle? I am pretty sure I have made it to the base. But without x-ray vision...
I have also read where some people have puzzles that the key chamber only opens a very small amount. Is it possible that I have opened it, closed it by accident, and still have the BB back in the channel?

I think I am close, but I don't know for sure.
