He changes is story daily...but Facebook confirms that NO ONE is getting one before Christmas. Think about, how long is it going to take him to organize China to make and ship the required parts....Months and Months.. No I have Changed my mind I don't think you will see them before August next year now.

Anyone feeling a bit like a mushroom?

Latest update. 6th December 2012 DELAY.

Christmas close down period for engineers is causing us some production issues. We are being informed that this will affect total availability of Tessarisis until after the Christmas period. Apologies, but this is out of our control and it will mean that Tessarisis will not be available to everyone until 2013. What stocks we do have will be supplied in priority of order date received.

We will be doing as much as we can with the limited supply we have been promised during December and we will supply all remaining orders of Tessarisis as soon as engineers are back up and running after Christmas period.

As a result of this update today we have closed sales on all further Tessarisis until January 2013.

December 7th 2012 - latest updates

1. The Tessarisis - we have hit a British engineering hurdle !. We have a working puzzle, but we are struggling on a getting a sensible manufacturing price. Sonic is happy to pay 3 x higher manufacturing price than normal to fulfil it's commitment to all our loyal customers for the 46 pre-orders, but the UK engineers want 5 x higher price than normal - which actually places the engineering costs higher than the end retail price - Crazy !!! I have now placed backup plans to manufacture the parts in China but this will mean a delay until early 2013. Apologies - we can only ask that you hang in there with us. We are as disappointed and frustrated as probably many of you are about this news. If anyone requests a refund for the limited edition Tessarisis this will of course be carried out without delay, but as an apology for the delay, all those that don't cancel will be offered LIFE membership to the isis adventure.

Sonic Games(UK) we are neg. with British engineers to manufacture a working puzzle. The issues seems to be the price which is currently being quoted higher than the retail price. We can make Tessarisis at a price that works for everyone, without increasing the retail price to +500.00 but it will delay until early 2013. We are now putting in plans to do that due to the crazy UK engineering price

OK .. I just had a long chat with Andrew (Puzz) where I discussed the progress of the Tessarisis puzzle here is where we stand:

Andrew has been working with the engineers since the start on this puzzle and it is them selves that made him the first prototypes. The puzzle apparently is unbelievable but now that he has asked them to put it in production they put the price up by 5 times the amount therefore the puzzle would cost to us around £600 . people just wont pay that!!!! He has offered them 3x times the amount and actually now he has offered them a little bit more. He was actually emailing them when I called. He wanted to use British engineers to complete his project but they are simply asking to much money. However he does have a quote from another company which is much more realistic. So there is a plan B so to speak but really its a british company screwing a British company. Anyway he is going to try his up most to get the 46 puzzles by Christmas but don't hold your breath because the original engineers are not budging by the looks of things. Funnily enough its not the small parts to the puzzle that he has a problem with its the larger pieces of the puzzle. He is just as annoyed as all of us that I can tell you.

Anyway thats the deal. I hope thats a little insight

Thanks for the more detailed update...I like to deal in facts.

Can you explain this.

1. If the engineers have just announced that the price has gone up (around 5th Dec) by x5, and puzz has said no. Why does he said he has stock because they haven't been made?

2. If he hasn't got any stock, why is he collecting our money as early as the 1st October?

3. Why doesn't he return everyone money without us requesting, allowing everyone to keep there place in the order system?

4. If you look back at the Isis 3 I think the delay from preorder was over a year!, why do you think it's going to be any different now?

5. Shouldn't he have agreed the manufacting cost prior to collecting our money, did he at any stage say that we were all paying him money without there actually being a completed puzzle?

6. Previously he sold membership to the 500 club, and stated that they would carry out test of the new products, why has no one tested the Isis 4, is it because it doesn't existing in a working form yet?

7. Not everyone who has ordered the Isis 4, reads the forum or Facebook regularly, why hasn't there been a personal email to everyone who has preordere? Some people will have not been told there is a problem yet!

Don't get me wrong here, I have been interested and active in Isis puzzle for along time, 6 years now.
When it's wrong, I tell it as I see it.....when its right I sing his praises.

The fact is that you are not going to get your puzzles before Christmas and there is a good chance that when they come they will be rushed and not tested properly with faults

Also just remembered, how could I forget, the Isis 2 was subject to the same preorder then delay after delay (about a year again)...and when the puzzle turned up they were rushed and not tested...mine fell to bits within one hour of collecting it personally from Andrew........

I agree with Lodgecrest.

I may have only been following the IAS for 2 years now, but I agree that there should be further testing rather than rushing to finish something. When I received my Isis, the rings had started to fall off without having to do anything. Also when I received my gold Copernisis, it was soo oily and stiff I had cut my hand soo many times, not to mention 2 "planet's" had snapped off when they locked into place and the key chamber was soo tight i needed pliers to have enough grip to pull the key chamber out fully. I am still contemplating on sending them back to be fixed. The only one that has not given me problems was the Ramisis. I would rather have the Tessarisis have a bit more time to be manufactured and given to the 500 club for final yay or nay before they go ahead with mass production.

I am dissapointed as well that I will not receive my Tessarisis before Xmas as it was my Xmas present to myself before I leave for 2 months.

Puzz hopefully you will have this all sorted and working towards the IAS grand finale

So... now that we kinda have an idea on timeline..... kinda.... Do you think someone who has a line to Andrew might convince him to release the clues/booklet early, as a teaser or something for those of us w/ pre-orders.? Not likely I know, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

It'd be nice to be able to solve the clues over Christmas, while we wait for the Tessarisis to materialise.

It's my birthday in January, so fingers crossed for a January delivery so the Tessarisis can be a birthday present rather than a Christmas present.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to see any clues prior to getting my hands on the puzzle itself. Learning just too much about the puzzle, receiving any real spoilers even before touching the puzzle itself is the thing which can perfectly ruin the awaited experience and challenge. So if there would be some voting about an early cluebook release, I'd vote definitely against, as then all the people would talk only about their excitement on the clues, so I would be then forced to avoid reading the forums as well.

Then those that want it can have the clues in advance of the puzzle and discuss their findings and those that don't can simply not look at that thread - Simples!
