money money money

money money money, thats all this is about not only do you pay a fortune for the puzzle to start with and lets be honest its not that hard to crack took me around a day, then you have have to pay for membership (which again i thought yeah why not ) but then i find out that you have to pay again for password credits..... then even on the virtual pyramids from what i can gather only contain half the amount (250) which i think is s**t as to travel to to the ones in london would cost for most of us in the north around 150 pound for the day trip. please tell me im not the only one who feels like this isnt quite right...

Hi Tommy

I'm sorry to hear that your not particularly happy at the moment.

Its great news you opened your Isis so quickly......I know for certain it took me a couple of weeks to crack mine and even longer to solve me Ramisis and Copernisis.

In regards to password credits I believe you dont have to buy them as you get a free password check every 3.5 days. I am guessing the reason for this limit may have something to do with preventing people putting numerous guesses in a short period of time and to help ensure people who correct solve the password has done so by careful reseach rather than a scattered guess.

In regards to virtual pyramid being £250 compared to the £500 of an actual pyramid, I dont find this too much of a problem as if I remeber correctly all virtual pyramids are £250 prizes and you do not need to physically go to the pyramids location to open it saving on travelling expenses. Physical pyramids also contain multiple coins (1 gold at £500 and 20 silver at £20 gift voucher) and there is no way of knowing until you have opened the pyramid as to if the gold coin has already gone!

Hope this answers most of your questions.

If you have anymore then feel free to ask

Kind regards

Andy

Hi Andy, thanks for your reply I dint mind the 3.5 days but when I was about to put my first try in it came up with the message that i had no credits and if I got one wrong I would be locked out for 30 days... Unless I read this wrong or misunderstood. Any help on this matter would be awesome. Tom

Thanks for the PM Tom - I have replied, but thought I would post the answer here too for general consumption:

I think you may be confusing the password checker with the box to guess the password.

Under 'Collect your Reward' there is a box to enter the password that you have deduced, and this is the equivalent of presenting a password in person to the guardian of a real pyramid, as it unlocks the prize straight away, and no-one else can then get it, just like collecting the gold coin from a real pyramid. This 'enter the password' box does therefore not, of course, occur for a real pyramid, just the virtual ones. There is no cost to enter your password in this box, just as there is no cost to present a password in person for a real pyramid, but there is a 30 day lockout if the guess is wrong.

The password checker (which comes up when you view the clue), on the other hand, is available for all pyramids, both real and virtual, as was originally provided as a means of avoiding a long trip to a real pyramid only to find that the password was wrong (on the basis that the cost of a password credit is less than the petrol cost for most people). For the virtual pyramids, it provides a means of avoiding the 30 day lockout if the password guess is wrong. Remember though, that if the password checker tells you that the password is correct, that doesn't in itself get you the prize, that is achieved by entering the password in 'Collect you reward' password box (virtual pyramids) or visiting the pyramid and presenting the password to the guardian (real pyramids).

You can think of the password checker as useful, but not essential, extra facility - you don't have to use it for either real or virtual pyramids.

I hope that makes things clearer!
