Frank caught the same amount of fish as his son. Peter caught three times more fish as his son. Together they caught 35 fish.
Frank's son is named George. What is the name of Peter's son?

Is Peter's son's name "all" :?:

nope, but Toxophilite-s answer was correct
if you're wondering why, try calculating how much fish was caught by Peter, Frank, George and "all" :)

Oooo, I missed my go there, sorry I didn't check back to see if I got it right :D

As you know, I like wordplay. I'm also setting up a really important and hopefully successful business! I'll be collecting insects from distant continents and bringing them all to the UK to be displayed in zoos (and of course selling them to avid collectors here!).

What shall I call my business?

you are out in a small, square cabin. each wall has a window that faces the same cardinal direction. suddenly, a bear approaches the cabin.

what colour is the bear?

I'm guessing you must be at the north pole, so all the windows face south, so I reckon it'd be a WHITE polar bear.

Really? Didn't know that. I suppose it would help them absorb some heat.

Anyway, I have a room with a light bulb in it, which is controlled by one of 3 switches outside the room (so I can't see if the light is on when I operate the switches). If I am only allowed to enter the room once, how can I determine which of the 3 switches operates the light?

ha! i remember this one. multiple sensory input challenges. it kind of reminds me of the two guys at the fork in the road. one lies and the other doesn't.

Hmm, I know the one about the fork in the road - can't really see the similarity to the light bulb question though!

Which Switch?

You would just press all the switches and dive into the room. Why? Well there’s usually just one, two, or sometimes three rooms in a house with the light switch outside the room. They are the smallest rooms in the house and the switches are outside to comply with safety regulations. Now nine times out of ten, by the time you get to the door of that room you just haven’t got time to stand faffing about with the light switch; just get in there, breathe a deep sigh of relief, and get on with what you went in for. You’ll have plenty of time to work out which switch you should have pressed when you’re standing outside the little room again telling everyone “I’d give it a few minutes if I were you.”
