My secret compartment hasn't opened either. I'm convinced it's either stuck or the method for opening it is just as complex as the method for getting the key. Logic tells me that shouldn't be the case.

I wouldnt worry too much about that, Assuming that you have figured out the correct side to use,thats only an extra 1474560 possible combinations. Piece of cake. if you haven't though, its 11796480 possible combinations so you may want to set aside a few extra minutes.

OK, so is there a method to opening the secret compartment or is it just blind luck? I know some have solved it without the equation, but that seems to just be luck too...
So the best option is to strive for the compartment! Suggestions anyone?

Well I suppose that if the secret compartment opened and you didn't know why, that could appear to be blind luck, and similarly if the key chamber opened and you didn't know why, that would also appear to be blind luck, but maybe if the probablilities of those two things happening were significantly different (let's say like the difference between winning the jackpot on the Lotto and winning a tenner) then I guess one might seem rather luckier than the other, but nevertheless would not appear lucky at all if you knew what was going on! Now, as for solving it using the equation, that's another ball-game - still a nice round number of people in the 1% club!

What I'm wondering is, are there clues to be discovered (in the packet or elsewhere)(as in Isis and Ramisis) that will get me there? There are clues to buy, but unlike the previous clues, no actual included sentences that guide you...
It seems that unless I buy them online, I must simply play around with the rings and hope to stumble onto an opened compartment, is that right?

If you know <spoiler removed> you can open the secret compartment. Mine was quite stiff to open the first time.

Not got the key out put worked out the ring positions and orientation(<spoiler removed> those that have opened will know what I mean), problem is knowing what you have to do now, I assume the key isn't spring loaded and also <spoiler removed>, but when this is aligned with the key you can't put the pegs in the correct place.

PS. Rings have nothing to do with the secret compartment. It's a separate puzzle.

I also feel that there should be some clue as to what to do like there was with Isis 1 otherwise most people will never open it even with solving the Equation
