it all sounds ok to me. I had to bash mine on the floor to get the keychamber out until it was flush with the lid (stopping the lid rotating). I then had to hook/pull it out with some tools i had.

I opened mine without buying the clues.

In my opinion the Copernisis is the easiest to open of the 3 ISIS puzzles to date - It just gives too much away (at least mine did!) - It took me 5-mins to get the clue drawer open and about 4-5 hours to extract the key. I really don't think you need clues.

I opened mine using a combination of; the formula, information from the copernisis website (That really is an interesting sequence of planets!) and clues that my copernisis gave me.

That being said, i still haven't completely fathomed the formula - Working back from my solution, the way i interpreted it only gave me the ring positions for 3 of the rings (the puzzle gave me the other two!), i couldn't (and still can't) get it to work for the other two.

So maybe i lucked upon the solution!

I've now worked out where i went wrong with the formula!

Finger trouble in excel meant i transposed two digits in my calculations on two occations.

I now have the correct RPs for all rings from the formula! :D

Yeh, good luck with that. ring positions alone isn't enough to get 1% by a long way

I thought as much :(

I now know which planets to use, in what order, and why (I think!). I also know how to get the RPs from the formula (though that's the easy bit) - the only thing i can't work out other than by trial and error is the orientation of the top layer to the key slot (though that was made considerably easier by some of the clues the puzzle gave me - in effect it was a choice of 3) - Is there also a Puzz way of establishing that? If so i'd love to hear it!

Cheers,

Richard...

So good news and bad...
I was able to unlock the copernisis!
However, after receiving the key, I have no idea about the inner 10 digit code! Where is it? I'm rather confused about where you're supposed to get that.
Could anyone give me a heads up or PM, that would be great.

It's on the back of the draw that held the key.

the top part? It's completely blank. I also checked the underside, which held the key, and nothing...
Did they forget to engrave mine?! :?

lol
Sounds like they have.

As I said, it's usually on the back of the key chamber ie. the the opposite side to where the recess is where the key fits in... if I look straight at the face of my copernisis the 10 digit code is facing me when the draw is open.

Well, then I'll send them an email and hopefully get this sorted out!
Thanks.
