Did you use the Puzz method or the S&L method?
I must disagree with luck being involved in solving the Copernisis.
The Copernisis is not about a solution to be found by luck or by number crunching, it is about a solving method, which should still work if the Equation is changed.

I suppose it was 75% info from solving the clues and the other 25% the S&L way is the only way I can put it.
I opened the compartment fairly quick, closed it again couldn't get it open but then realized what triggered it.
I then with the help from the post from Puzz solved the equations and got all the info on the amount of clicks needed for each planet
Then using the different orbits on the Copernisis I tried to match the planets to the rings. Now I think that i worked out definitely 2 possibly 3 .
But this as far as I went with the clues I then used the S&L method but the clues do really help. I was actually very very close. But even now knowing the Final answer and having all the answers to the equations!!!! I still cant add it all together
But I think this is a awesome puzzle loads of fun, would like to have been able to take it apart but hey.
Love to all have fun.
