Just so I am clear. A virtual Pyramid is just placed on a map, and you are trying to find just a password? What do you win if you find a virtual one?

If I'm correct you can win £250 if you crack a virtual pyramid. A physical pyramid can earn you £500

If the pyramid has only silver coins in it then you will not need a password I think silver is worth£25 i might be wrong on that though I cant remember.

Am I looking for a place's name, or just something that sums up the clues and apparently has something to do with the area that the Pyramid is placed on the map?

Part of the clue will indicate exactly where the pyramid can be found. The other part of the clue will lead to the password. It is up to you to work out which part is which!

As I understand it, unless anyone knows otherwise, there are two places where you can check the password for a VP online, one is the credit based system where you buy tokens to make one guess every 3.5 days per pyramid as per real pyramids.

The second is to click on 'COLLECT YOUR REWARD' where for VP's only you enter your password guess. If you guess correctly your Adventure for that ISIS automatically ends, you lose access to the pyramid maps (unless you have another ISIS) and your claim will be processed. If you guess wrong you are locked out of that particular VP for 30 days before you can try again. This mechanism is free but effectively allows only one attempt per month. The virtual version of visiting a pyramid. If you press the 'collect your reward' link for a real pyramid you get a different screen that prompts you for the serial number of the gold coin.

If you confirm the password with the token system you still need to 'Collect your Reward' in addition to the confirmation. If you are currently locked out you will have to wait for the lock to expire, despite having confirmed the password with the checker.

I am trying to solve a Virtual Pyramid, and I am having trouble understanding why the Map shows it in certain states in the USA. What does the State have to do with it if the Pyramid doesn't really exist?

Also... This password checker... I don't get it. If my guess is (EX: Dogs and Cats) and I type (dogsandcats) it should tell me if I am right? What if I only type (dogsandcat) leaving off the "s" will it still register for the right answer? That also goes the other way, the answer is really (dogsandcat) and I type in (dogsandcats), will it say it is wrong if I add the "s" on the end?

I am trying not to spend a fortune on this Password Checker that is registering in at $7.00 a pop for a shot in the dark. Someone has got to be making a fortune from this.

I have been looking at one of the USA VPs and there does appear to be a link with the location that fits in with the clues (and was very difficult to find). I haven't been able to reason a password from it yet so it may be coincidence, intended or deliberate misdirection - who knows ? (well apart from PUZZ). The only VP solution I have seen was for pyramid 24 but I'm not sure where that was on the map so I don't know if there was a connection or not. There was a proper noun (Drina) in the riddle though which served as the starting point for the solution.

What you say is true but a bit of an unfair example. Most of the solutions have been proper nouns so the question of variable endings does not usually arise. One of the multiple word answers I have seen (for a real pyramid) was Magna Carta Libertatum so the password checker should have recognised magnacartalibertatum.

As to cost, you can make one free guess per month on any given VP.
