kuku puzzle.

The place to discuss the Kuku puzzle and the kuku vault.

Got mine now

First impressions are that it's a fantastic little puzzle. From the pictures you can't really see how big/small it is... its about half the diameter of an isis.
The colours are very nice too, I guess they come in different colours too, maybe to differentiate between the hard and easier ones... although from looking at it Im not sure how they could be made more or less difficult. My Kuku is blue, silver and a gold/orange color.

Out of the box its one of those puzzles you look at and think "what the heck, thats easy, surely the solution is just....", but then you realise you have it all wrong. I've been playing with mine on and off for about an hour now and its still in the same state as it was when it came out of the box... I guess it must be broken! (joke! )

Then theres the box... firstly, is not a re-hashed isis box this time, phew! :D The outer box is a stiff cardboard with viewing holes in the sides and a flap at the front, other than that it's fairly basic (don't read "basic" as cheap or rubbish because its not). Then there's the inner box that holds the Kuku itself; the inner box has clearly had some thought put into it. I believe it's been described previously as a puzzle in itself, which it is, not a very hard one, but again quite clever.

So, so far the little Kuku certainly gets a thumbs up from me :D Anyway... back to trying to get it apart...

Chris

ps. If I get some time later then I'll post some pictures to show the size difference against an Isis.

Beautiful, also the box. Would look good as a display item on any puzzle/book/toyshop counter.
Intriguing, looks easy but does not move easy, listen to establish your position...
Closed, for now...
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Well I'm still waiting for mine... Mine's a treasure chest refund, so perhaps that's not as high up the list as the pre-orders...

Edit:

Hi folks,

I will try and get all Kuku's out on Monday for those still waiting. Apologies for the delay.

The vault code is now at 8 digits already and only 1 person registered so far...

I told you the kuku was going to drive you all cuckoo.

The hard version is probably too difficult for most mortals, apologies to the 500 club

anyway we will be sending out easier versions next week. and if we do send some harder versions out next week we may send them in an unlocked state to balance the difficulty between easy and hard. We will send all components with the hard versions so if you do crack your unlocked kuku and you are feeling exceptional you can then re-lock a hard version properly and really drive yourself cuckoo trying to re-open it again !

Actually that reminds me, if you think opening a kuku is tricky, wait til you have to put it back together again, now that will test your abilities.

The gold token inside the kuku will allow you to register on www.sonicgames-uk.com/kuku and then you can have a go at cracking the Kuku vault code.

Okay. I decided to give SW another go after the 500 Club situation.
I ordered by KuKu yesterday. So now SW needs to impress me by getting me a product that has been paid for in a reasonable amount of time.
Make me want to continue to by the product. They all say this is a good product so I want it.

You just can't keep me away,
