I'm sure if you look at the pyramid map it will tell you, but it wouldn't do to post such details on the open forum now would it! :D

Each one to their own, I have had a lot of enjoyment out of the Isis Adventure so far and up until paying my £20 its all been free. This included finding the Lancashire Isis some time ago which, if memory serves me right Kingpin also went after.

I'm a firm believer in the old saying "there's no such thing in this world as a free lunch", yes at first the Isis Adventure was free and yes I did benefit as I think Kingpin did with the Yorkshire Isis around the same time as I found mine.

Times and circumstances do change though and whilst I didn’t relish the idea of shelling out £20 I reasoned that if I didn’t, I was cutting off my nose to spite my face, I enjoy the Isis Adventure and £20 was a small price to pay for something I enjoy doing, it was a no brainer.

Kingpin, get yourself up to the Yorkshire Pyramid, there’s a really good chance it’s still there. I’m sure Doc Iguana and his good lady would be delighted to see you if they know you’re going, they may even be still offering an incentive to spend silver coin winnings in the shop. You could always spend your coin winnings on a year membership, you never know, you may even win a free life membership, I did. :D

Puzz has now started placing free Ramisis coins and I for one am looking forward to one being placed in the north of England.. It would add a little more spice to it if I knew you were after it as well, especially if it was on the Lancs-Yorks Border! (thats a hint Puzz, in case you didn’t get it).

Nope, SW thought of that:

Only £20 for the year, or £2 per month (subject to a minimum 12 month subscription)
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

so its 20 pounds a year or 24 pounds a year?...if you cant pay by-monthly why is there a monthly rate given?....
sounds like 1 for 5;2 for 12......if there is a 12 month minimum that would be 20 pounds....am i missing something? :?:

What it's saying it that you either pay £20 in one go and thats 1 year's membership OR
You pay £2 every month, BUT if you do it this way then you have to subscribe for 12 months anyway. In which case you end up paying £24 for the same 1 year membership.

So unless you really cant afford to pay £20 in one go (and if thats the case then I guess your unlikely to be here/interested in the adventure anyway since the puzzles themselves are >5x membership anyway) then you'd be a complete fool to pay monthly.

The only exception I can see would be if your bank's interest rate is such that you'd earn £4 or more interest (which would be >18% interest even if you weren't having to spend £2p/m) in a year by paying the monthly installments... which by some quick maths I estimate you'd need to be getting something in the region of at least 40% interest with your bank to make your initial £20 pay the extra £4 for doing it this way... (quick maths often fails me, so someone correct me if Im wrong)

So, yeh it's quite like "1 for 5; 2 for 12", unless we're both missing something

But after all that... does it really matter for the sake of £4
