dont get me wrong steve, i love picking on you, but i have learned that you're not a bad guy. dont think my disneyland or similar comments are meant to wound deeply.

Well luckily no shavings are coming out of mine, but it getting quite loose. Now when I shake, not only do I hear the object moving around inside, but the layers themselves shifting back and forth and sometimes a new sound like a thin piece of metal shifting around. I've already removed the key so it's not that Anything I should be concerned about? On a plus side I believe I've made it out of the 1st ROH

nope it will work fine even loose...you may gain advantage from a proper view due to your "loosness"

Well that's good to know. Unfortunately for me it's just loose, there's no separation between the layers that might help unless you mean something else Now back to working on this blasted puzzle. Good luck huszar!

i would prefer loose to what huszar is experiencing right now

I think that my Ramisis may be damaged. After overshooting the final turn (I got the key chamber out but then kept turning it for some reason which re-locked the puzzle, but I didn’t realize that at the time) I tried to follow step 12 with the latch out of position and I think by doing so I may have caused some damage. I have now gotten it back to a point where I should be able to open the latch (thanks to some friendly advice from a few guys here) but I can't get it to open. Unless I'm doing something very wrong or my assumptions about this puzzle are completely wrong, it's jammed and jammed hard. So now I'm working on getting to the same point with my Ramisi5 but it's going slow. I really only have a vague understanding of what’s going on inside this thing.

Stet I did exactlly the same thing. You won't have damaged it you just need to do something again trying not to give too much away here but you will not have broken it
