If you want to ask for your money back or complain in general, you're better off trying Caroline or Andrew Reeves himself... poor Martin doesn't have much to do with the running of the puzzle!

I don't care what Martin, Andrew or who ever does, they are all wearing the same badges AFAIK. Simon has been copied in but has not responded as yet.
Martin's response, albeit relatively prompt, did nothing to enamour me to the company ethos, just "give us money".

Those who manage to unlock the isis, will discover a hidden key with a unique 10 digit code. Using your password, you should log into the system and enter the 10 digit key code. If accepted, you should then gain access to the map of pyramids.

Legend has it that gold and silver coins where hidden throughout the world. The coins were sealed within golden pyramids and entrusted with the keepers.

If discovered, the keepers must release one of the coins.

As you can see - NO MENTION OF HAVING TO PAY MORE. It states that after the code has been accepted which it has), I will be able to access the 'map of pyramids'. I can't SO FIX IT SW. I'm not paying more. I read the above which made me finally buy an Isis. NO MENTION OF MORE MONEY BEING REQUIRED IN ORDER TO ADVANCE.

My stance entirely.

I have noticed that there are a few threads on this forum about T&C changes. I believe I can see why now.

I also expect to be granted access to the ongoing Pyramid game at no further cost.

If this is not possible then I demand a full refund.

I would also like to add that the statement on the outside of the box of "The World's Most Difficult Puzzle" is extremely misleading and not factual. This statement is unqualified and will be reported to Trading Standards.

Echo: all you need to send is the number on the outside of the Isis and the number engraved on the inside

Hi Folks,

Update December 2008

I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a fabulous new year.

I have just been catching up with the forum, I must apologise to you all but I am finding little available time these days to feedback to you all, and its really important that I do, so Im going to try and allocate a bit more time some how.

Regarding the recent changes, apart from the forum which now requires your isis logon, I have tried everything to keep the status quo on the adventure, but Ive been told by those interferring accountants that I cant. I intend to see my dream of 5 isis puzzles produced but some changes are required to ensure this happens smoothly. Isis III will cost less than the Ramisis, but thats because Ive had to listen to the accountants again and reduce the complexity of the puzzles im making. That said Isis III is awesome and will not have the same teething issues that the Ramisis has had. The membership contributions will help to develop and test Isis III better than before and thus produce a flawless puzzle. Apart from the puzzles the membership will also allow us to introduce new better awards, many more pyramids and more free searches and much more... in affect for a small contribution the whole adventure will be enhanced tenfold for everyone's enjoyment.

There will be further announcements regarding the membership and how it will work over the next few weeks. In the meantime enjoy the festive season and dont drink too much coffee.

Albatross, I gave you Martin's email address to sort out your technical problems with the website, as Hannah said, he's not the person to talk to about complaints. Please email Andrew (Puzz) or Caroline and I'm sure they will get back to you asap.

If you read the clues and progress section of the forum, you'll see many posts from people struggling to open their ISIS. it took me 6 days to open and some people have taken over a year. The ISIS is a hard puzzle, I think only a handful of people have managed to open it as quickly as you have, you should be proud that you opened it so quickly, not angry at SW for making it to easy, as it clearly wasn't for the rest of us.

If you are after an even harder puzzle, try the Ramisi5 or the standard Ramisis, both of mine are still completely closed!!

I'm not angry so much about the dissapointingly easy puzzle. I'm concerned about the fact that it cost £100 to embark on the "adventure" with no mention of additional costs only to be told later that there were some. Changing the T&C after the event is not legal and I, and the other people on here saying the same thig are legally entitled to continue at no additional cost.

I do not want to continue at this stage given what I have now learned about the way that SW operates and believe that I have course to demand a refund.

I don't care whetehr some people are struggling with opening it; it is simply misleading and not within trading standards to claim that the ISIS is the most difficult puzzle in the World. For this reason too I am within my rights to request my money back.

There is no way that I would invest a further £100 or so to buy a Ramisis, I resent that I am being asked for more money already.

With the greatest of respect to all the members of this forum, you really need to think long and hard about whether you are being fleeced here. £100 for a puzzle is a hell of a lot of money. I suspect that the manufacturing costs are less than 10 - 15% of that. The "premium" price you're payng should have been more than enough to support the ongoing SW business and the necessary costs of mainaining the site and the pyramid adventures, but obviously there have not been enough sales to make this so. Therefore you are all now supporting the business further due to their failure to meet their initial business sales plan of ISIS puzzles.

It is not illegal for SW to change their T&C as quoted below, similar terms are often found on many other websites ... although I agree with you that SW should have changed the T&C as the subscription charge was introduced. I'm sure they will be changed shortly.

Because of the change in the T&C I believe you are entitled to a refund as you don't agree with the changes, but I was hoping that you would reconsider because of the reason why SW have been forced to intruduce the additional charges. I am not affiliated with SW, but I have been a huge fan of the ISIS adventure for over 2 years now. Although no one really likes the idea of paying for services that we used to get for free, if it means that it will keep the ISIS adventure going, I personnally believe that £20 per year is definitely worth it.

Anyway, I hope you reconsider about the refund, the ISIS adventure is a lot of fun. But if not, send an email to Caroline@sonicwarp.com and she should be able to help you.

We have thought about this long n hard and because we love it we will pay £20 a year to keep it going, just think do you smoke thats £5 a pack and it's gone in under a day, do you drink- a beer £3 a pint and thats gone 20mins......
You just have to think for my £20 am i getting value You pick

I disagree, he purchased a puzzle for which he received fully in order, and has since opened it, so I don't think a full refund is justified (his statutory rights have been not affected by the puzzle itself). However..the £20 is the only thing that has changed, and not been advertised at the point of sale, therefore he has not potentially had the opportunity to accept (or not) the addditional susbsciption fee, therefore he cwould be entitled to gain access into the adventure FOC for a certain perod of time.

Putting it in perspective though, that is exactly the same for all of us
