Just be nice... that is all we are asking. You're 38... we shouldn't have to have a poll over this.

If you want to nicely enforce the rules both in this forum and others, no big deal. No one is going to stop you... and it's encouraged, I'm sure.

But when you use words like you do, it makes SW, the puzzles, the adventure and all of us look bad.

And further, you are acting like this is the Red Scare of the 40s and 50s. If ANYONE speaks out about SW, you immediately label them a traitor and a turncoat. Hell, you accused me of being a mole for UF just because I am a member there. You lash out at anyone and everyone at the drop of a hat. You have even turned it into a loyalty game (us against them or more so YOU against everyone).

Even if Puzz is REALLY REALLY REALLY upset, his PR mind isn't going to let him public berate and name call people. He is going to put a marketing spin on it and leave SW in a good light with people.

I'm sorry... what you are doing is not helping in any way. No matter what you think... no matter what you think other people think. There is no business model out there that says "Call them all worthless and idiots if they don't buy your product and play by your rules".

This has nothing to do with the Puzzle Solver and Forum Poster Steve. This has to do with the Steve that is acting like he is off his meds and hyped up on cola (no offense... it's tongue in cheek here)

We want a kinder, gentler, nicer Steve back. We don't want you censored on your thoughts and feelings... but there is a way to say what's on your mind while still having a bit of social graces.

Thank you for listening... and I'm sure deep down inside, you understand.

I think the important thing to remember with unfiction is that it is a HUGE site. The fact that the whole Isis Adventure discussion is confined to two threads in a subforum called "Timewasters" should tell you something.

Most people on the site have probably never heard of the Isis, and those who have probably don't have it at the forefront of their minds at all times, after all, the bulk of the traffic on that forum is for other ARGs. So, for example, if someone posts a riddle, there's no reason at all for them to suspect that it's about the Isis Adventure. Why should they? Hundreds of riddles are posted there every month!

With regards to the members of THIS community who visit that site, I think you also have to be a bit careful there, too. I joined unfiction ages ago (before I'd even heard of the Isis) to discuss the PerplexCity ARG. I didn't even realise there WAS an Isis thread until much later, and when I did, it was just a help thread like the ones we have here. I don't really appreciate the constant battering we get just for being members of another forum.

In conclusion: do whatever you like. I personally don't think you should storm into a huge site like that and accuse everyone of taking part in the spoilers which only a few have posted, but that's just me. I don't agree with spoilers being posted, as it's not really in the spirit of the game, but let's face it: if they need a walkthrough to open it, they're not going to be much of a threat when it comes to the riddles!

There's my two pennies, anyway. I've not voted in this poll.

wow you two are way more gracious than i expected......thanks for that...unfiction makes me feel like i am off my meds....or that i should get on some.....i need to leave that alone its stealing my joy...making me be mean to my friends ...even if puzz does appreciate my efforts....i am confused...i thought there would be a rallying behind me on this...i guess i embarassed every forum member here,i apologize for that....

I'll take some passion with my toast! Passion is great, but when on the offensive (that is, the offense, like opposite of defense), it is often perceived as hatred, which then becomes offensive. We could all use a bit more of your passion and zeal for a great product and adventure, but maybe think about less offense and even less defense. Instead, just be the referee, call it like you see it, short and to the point, but with a bit of grace also. Passion and grace; sounds like a good title for a book! Let's read it over our toast too.

Toast..... I hate toast; unless of course it has cheese on it, so, on those grounds I can't possibly vote for toast.
Unfiction.... It is unfortunate that some of the members have chosen to post spoilers; I do find the Isis adventure treads there quite depressing.
I fortunately did not find out about the unfiction forum until after I had opened my Isis therefore it did not spoil it for me.
I too am very passionate about the whole Isis adventure, but even though I don't agree with what the spoilers are posting I would not be derogatory to them.
I agree with your passion Steve but I must agree with the others......maybe you should just keep the aggression for the race track.
