Where Pyramids are placed on map

Postby MissileMike » Sat Oct 11, 2008 4:03 pm

I would have never guessed that pyramid 32 was in New York from its placement on the map. If it was in New York i would have guessed it was close to the boarder, not in New York city. I realy thought it was in Pennsylvania between Allentown and Edison as it shows on the map.

location was probably like 15 mins away from when he left jersey and entered new york, which it looks like that location is near the border on the map so it kinda looks semi accurate a lil

The pyramids are usually quite accurate in their location. Our Yorkshire pyramid is bang-on. I thought it would disappear when Hannah first turned the key but no; it's still there hanging low over the town like a scene from Independence Day. I'm told it's really quite a nice gold colour but we can only see the underside of it. It's kept the rain off this lousy summer though.

Mind you, if it's segments start rotating and flashing red lights I'll send it back where it came from.

I wonder if it has something to do with the size of the country, yes Doc, your pyramid is overhead but the grid ref supplied on the map page pinpoints a field North West of Gammersgill, which as the bird flies is nearly 14 miles from the shop. In the case of pyramid 32 the grid ref is over 75 miles from the Coopers Tavern, this is by far the most inaccurate pyramid placement that I have seen, the next most inaccurate is 26 miles from the shop. The most accurate that I have seen was less than 2 ½ miles from the shop.

I will have to make my search bigger, say like 1/3 of the US. that means the one in Texas might not be in Texas after alll.

Yeah i definatly agree with you, i took the latitude and logitude from the page source and the location it gave me was in bethlehem pa, so thats incredibly inaccurate and is off by almost 80 miles.

I had wondered about the accuracy of the icons on the map aswell,
especially the one in Texas since I have been trying to figure out
the clue for Pyramid 30.
