Please give Puzz a break! I doubt very much that Puzz has read this topic as yet, check the time of my post above..5:27pm, which is generally the time offices close in the UK. He probably won't read it now until he starts work today. It's 5:30am here now, so that's at least 4 hours away, and that assumes Puzz goes directly to his email when he starts work!

Thank you,

Karen

SW are a small company (Ihave their abbreviated accounts for 31 March 2007) They don't have the spare expenditure for proper reasearch and development hence the reason the products will have a tendancy to have faults. Ongoing improvements should be expected. I'm sure it will be sorted as quick as it can be because everyday they are losing money the product is off the shelf. SW have a difficult task to grow and also develope new products. It's a new company so don't expect too much too soon.

I hate to say it but I did forsee this happening but I also will be suprised if it's not sorted within a few days. I think I will buy one one day.

Let's try and turn this into a happy forum again

So - positive things are:

-The Ramisis exists - it is not just an idea in someone's head or on paper
-The Ramisis has been beta tested by lots of people now (the Hamleys testing crew  ) and the only problems that have appeared are being dealt with.
-For those who have their's, the Ramisis is still 100% openable.
-It's just another delay - we've had delays before, and no doubt we'll have delays again - it's a fact of life. (For people who commute, do you get this worked up when your train is late every day  )
-The anticipation of receiving it will make it that much sweeter when you get a working one.
-Sonic Warp will have learned a great deal from this. This should make 3, 4 and 5 releases much smoother. It would have been so much worse if this had happened later on down the series.

Out of respect for my fellow puzzlers, I have now put mine back on the display shelf, and will not touch it again until everyone has theirs. If this place goes all moody again, I'm going to pick it back up .

Karen may be right. I'm really not sure how I feel. I'm never going to say that I feel sorry for Puzz, because I envy his job a little, but I do understand that it's hard to fix these puzzles and keep up with customers. I may have overreacted with my posts earlier, but I was just frustrated. I'm no less frustrated now, but putting myself in Puzz's position, I wouldn't know what to do when I had an angry mob demanding a puzzle that isn't working yet. The logical thing to do would be to explain yourself and promise to fix things, but he can't explain too much without compromising the puzzle, and by now, I'm sure puzz is a little scared of making promises; they do tend to get him in trouble.

So I'll lay things out exactly as I see them:
I don't know if the current problems are the fault of SW or the manufacture, but we now have to either wait this out, or ask for our money back. Currently, I'm willing to wait things out. If you aren't that's fine; ask for your money back. We can't expect the problems to be fixed imediately and SW really needs to take their time to get things right, as they probably can't afford another mistake.

Here's what I do expect from SW:
1. An apology and explaination - I realize that they can't explain what is wrong with the puzzle. I just want to know who is at fault, and when they went wrong.
2. Everything in the power of SW to fix the problem - I'm sure that this is something that they are already giving.
3. A plan to fix the problem - I want to know what, how and when the problem is going to be fixed.
4. Express shipping - Whether the delay is SW's fault or not, it is their responsiblily to do everything within their power to make up for it. Express shipping is certainly in their power.

There was no use in being negative. Hopefully this post better explains what I and many other patient customers are expecting. I really hope that Sonicwarp will come through and exceed all of our expectations.

ChadH is right, lets make this a happy forum again, the ramisis exists, it looks like an amazing puzzle and I guess the fact that people are so upset about the delay is a compliment to SW as it shows how much we all really want one :)
Sorry themagicdude, I really wasn't having a dig at u personnally, it was a collective whinge at you all! I'm sure you are right, Puzz is stuck in the middle and no matter what he says it will probably cause problems. Puzz has already said that there are problems with the ramisis, that SW are trying their best to fix it and he has appologuised, check out his announcement on the 6th. I don't really know what else he can say? He may not be able to give us an actual posting day as yet.
I'm sure it's not that Puzz doesn't care about the adventure anymore, he's just probably getting hassled from all sides and that would put anyone in a bad mood!

SW is a small new company, in order to survive they need us, we need to support them even when things go very wrong. Personnally I love the adventure, I've never had so much fun from a puzzle, the ISIS has entertained me for nearly 2 years now, and I would be devistated if it was no more. So please support SW, they need us now :)

Karen :)

p.s. sorry if this post doesn't turn out right, I'm in leicester all day today and so writing this on my phone!

I'm sure it will be a happy forum when we all get our ramisis. Then the frustation will be aimed at the puzzle and our in ability to open it.

Here's some advice to help you get a feel for what it's like to own a Ramisis. For this simulation, you will need a closed Isis.

-Hold your Isis with the plunger facing upwards
-Close your eyes
-Swirl and listen to the noise
-Twist the rings around
-Turn it upside down
-Swirl and listen to the noise
-Turn it the right way up
-Swirl and listen to the noise

Simulation over. And that's about as far as you'll get for at least a week

For a more advanced simulation, perform the above whilst standing next to a red flashing light :P
