the start light is red but the 'see the light' light is green so its still possible if only the red one is faulty

Well, I'm guessing that the electonics are not working at all, so IF I do manage to get into it, I guess I'll just have to send pictures and ask for a verification code. If I do open it before the electronics get replaced, it will be a massive anti climax. So far this entire experience has left a fairly sour taste in my mouth

I think I'm very close to doing it. It's taken me 5 days to get this far, and what I'm concerned about is that I wll have no idea what stage it will be at when I get it back.
Also, I want to know for sure that they have the necessary parts before I return it - this has turned into a bit of an addiction, and I don't want it to sit in their office for a week or two waiting for parts.
