mmmm... I have to admit Im a bit dissapointed.
I considered contacting Mr Cowie myself but felt it wasnt in the spirit of the adventure. "Taking you places you've never even thought of going to..."
So decided to make the effort when I was relatively close to the island - in a couple of weeks.
I just hope this is a one-off and people dont start phoning boat companies and asking them to look under their seats and post them what they find, or emailing park wardens to have a look for them, or landlords to have a look in their ornaments for hidden coins.

This way we are heading towards 'virtual' hides. Solve the clue and email SW with where you think it is and they will post the coin to you... its just not part of the game is it???

But hey, all's fair in isis hunts.
Congrats Skizz for having the balls to ask... gggrrrrrr   :)

Cheers
Haggis

Well that certainly shows initiative! I must admit I ignored this one as soon as I realised how far away it was!

Yes, initiative certainly was used, but at the same time a gamble was taken, Mr Cowie could have kept it for himself.
It would have probably worked out more expensive (apart from Mr Cowie) than buying an Eagle Isis, even at the new price.
I certainly could not have made the trip for less than the price of an Eagle, and I am possibly the closest forum member to Rona.

Well done Skizz.

Well done!
I can only compliment you on the very smart method, since it´s very much like what I did with the first German free search.

Must admit I'm with Haggis on this one, I too considered contacting Mr Cowie with regard to having him do the leg work but decided against it. I just didn't ring right with me. That said Ialready own a free search Isis from the time when they hid the actual puzzle. Having someone post you a coin to claim an Isis can in no way compare with the feeling of utter euphoria you get when you first see the sandwich box encased Isis in its hiding place.

i agree....finding an actual puzzle would be way better...but if the puzzle "weathers" the way the chicago coin did,,,then it could be unfunctional....dollar store tupperware ,like you said, would do it aye?... :D
