To have it behave like the pyramid keepers is an excellent idea and the fairest way, but I can't see it changing in the near future.

I didn't have to spend long thinking who you could possibly be talking about, to have the Doc as an automated password checker would probably be more confusing that the riddles are, but if Puzz did meld the Doc and the password checker together, I'll bet that the password checker would instantly start to make more money for SW. People would pay good money just to have the doc take the piss out of what you thought was a serious guess.
I think that we could learn a lesson from Star Trek here; do we really want a virtual doc? I prefer him the way he is, at least with the present password checker, we know roughly how it works, you pay your money and 99.9% of the time it says that you are wrong.
The alternative would possibly be buying the Doc a couple of pints in the local ale house and a few shaggy dog stories later you only think that you might be wrong.

I like that last bit; about the local ale house, but a couple of Glenfiddichs would be even better. Seriously though, it's yet to be proved wether or not the pyramid keepers, scratch that, guardians, have any intelligence either. You have to take an intelligence test to be a pyramid guardian; if you pass you're not allowed to be one.

All pyramid guardians are virtual as well; I've been virtual for years but since I got the hard light drive you just can't tell.
