The VERY, very hard Ramisis

Postby evilkeen » Sat Sep 13, 2008 9:51 pm

Latest update from Puzz on the front page:

Ramisis - In full production now, very limited availability for October though.
Important - All those in 5% club please email info@sonicwarp.com if you require a very, very hard Ramisis puzzle. Otherwise only the very hard version will be sent out.

Does this mean there are three versions - standard, very hard and very very hard - or is very hard the standard version?

not sure if this is answered somewhere but is there extra prizes for the harder version or is it just the warm fuzzy feeling?

... a very, very hard Ramisis puzzle...

Damnit :|

Now I will have to get THREE of the buggers. And that's BEFORE you factor in the possible different versions (like A,B,C...).
Isis - opened, Gold Coin won :)
Eagle Isis - opened
Isis 1C - opened :D
Ramisi5 - grrrr, jammed :(
Copernisis - opened
Tessarisis - opened
NKryptor opened, Pyrahunters completed to last level

Damn, this sucks! How do we choose?! Is there anything you can say, puzz, to give us an idea of how hard the very, very hard puzzle is? Please don't respond with simply a "very, very hard."

it looks like he is reffering to the standard ramisis as very hard and the ramisi5 as very, very hard......i didnt hear anyone say "the isis adventure is cheap!"...
we may have to order standard versions just to begin to understand a ramisi5.. :(

I have gone for the very very hard version. I hope this is going to be the cheaper option. If I order the standard one then open it I would have to then order the very hard one. I'm now thinking I may not be able to open the harder one and may need to buy the easier one as an insight in how to open the harder one. :?

As a collector I'm going to want one of each. Up to this point it was assumed that there were going to be two versions and since I'm in the 5% clube then I would get the harder one (the Ramisi5). Instead of just going ahead and ordering two of them right away, I figured I should wait to actually get it just to make sure of which one is actually sent to me, and then I would order the other one. Now, if there are really three of them, I think I'll continue what I already planned. I'm wait to see what they send me first, and then order the other two versions at a later date.
Don't mess around with really dense objects like things made of neutronium and black holes. It will only end in disaster.
What is the shape of things to come?

I believe there are only two versions at the moment, as the ISIS series are hard puzzles, I'm pretty sure the standard Ramisis is the very hard version, and the very, very hard version is the Ramisi5.

I'm starting to sense a lot of big ego's here. In life most people start at the bottom and work up( it's called satisfaction). Sarting at the top and then working down( is called failure) :D :D :D

Just to confirm was Karen said incase there's still any doubt... I e-mailed SW and the response was:
There are just the 2 versions, but the standard is indeed very difficult in itself.

hmm... now i'm starting to wonder if i should change my order to the standard ramisis, i ordered the 5% club one thinking it was the medium one as i got the impression that there were 3 versions of Ramisis - easy standard, very hard 5% club, and very very hard special edition. But now i know i've ordered the very, very hard Ramisis... which is cool but i'd prefer to be actually able to open at least one of them! don't know whether to change the order or just wait and see and give it a go... :?

Karen :)

I think this is right - the response from Puzz from my email was slightly different:

... there is only one version of Ramisis, but we can make it as hard or as easy to solve as we like. Whatever difficulty of Ramisis you request they are all hard to solve.

I also asked about the difference in what happens when solving the two versions ...

The harder Ramisis does have an extra something about it, which cant be disclosed at this point. What I will say is that it has something to do with the time zone leaderboard.

He has also confirmed that ...
Any difficulty of Ramisis will be available at some point in the future and not be specific to the 5% club

i see the ramisi5 as being that much more of a challenge and that much more bang for my buck.
i loved isis but i only had 4 days before i had it opened - i like the fact that it has Ramisi5 engraved on it too :D
