My first thoughts... White Hart Lane, home of Tottenham Hotspur FC... 9 O'clock could mean the West Stand.
Don't know about grease my palm with gold, although it could mean you will have to pay to get in?
Just an idea. :-)

"Grease my palm with gold and you will find the heart of this lane at 9 oclock."

Greasing somebody's palm usually refers to bribing them.
Tried to use this info and googled it with 'Gold' and 'Au' but still have come up with nothing???

Ive no idea how Lodgecrest has managed to get a location so fast... just clever I guess.

However, Ive just noticed a second September hunt is up an running...

I've found the location from some googling and it's too far north for me. Anyone near Derby or sheffield, let me know and i'll send you the location! :D

As far as I can make out, this could be in any one of 5 counties through which this particular 'long distance route' passes, unless I'm missing something that pins the location more precisely?
