Oh, so it's not just me, then? I am reduced to accessing the Internet via my iPod and I just assumed that this is what it looks like on a small screen or using Safari!

I like it, but I must admit that I preferred having the names and avatars to the left of the posts.

I don't care for it. It doesn't look very nice or work well on my Blackberry and seems more difficult to navigate. I also miss the indications on the main forum index indicating which forums had new posts in them, now I'll have to open each forum to check if there are any new posts (which adds to the difficulty to navigate thing).

Actually, that notification is still there, it just looks different. Now (I think) the icon goes red when new posts have been made.

We need something to talk about here. It's bad when the hot topic is the new look. I can't wait until we start filling this forum with curses about the Ramisis and how we all think that "ours" is broken!!!!!!!!!

I see them now that I logged in using a PC, but they don't show up on my Blackberry (using Opera Mini). Also, having the user name/icon on the right side of the screen really messes with the way the Blackberry displays things, making it hard to tell who posted anything (everything seems jumbled out of order). I really don't care for this at all as I use my Blackberry more often then my PC for checking this and other forums. I hope they either restore it back, or fix it so that it works better on portable devices because as it is now, it's mostly un-usable.

Yeh me too!! Ah well I guess it's just something we'll have to get used to I guess the prettieness makes up for it

I used to view the forum on my phone (among other devices) but with the new layout it doesn't display properly anymore, it puts all the icon over the text... nevermind

I notice there's now an "Upload attatchment!" tab when posting a message... that'll be useful

I don't think there's much chance of that, as the change is a result of the upgrade of phpBB version 2 to 3. It's funny, I was just looking at the new Treasure Chest forum and the European ISIS forum last night (which are both new and hence on version 3), and thinking when will they upgrade this forum. And then, today, they've done it!

Hmm, I can see that might be a problem. This new version seems to give a lot more control over how individuals can view the forum, but not to change that it seems.

oooooh, this is swish. I see we can add each other as friends or foes as well .......not to many of the latter I hope!

I looked around in the settings but couldn't find anything on switching it back over to the left. I did see that you can now make people friends or foes, which allows you to ingore people if they make you mad

And in addition, you can now set it to only show posts made in the last day/week/two weeks/month/ ..... by going to the User Control Panel, Board preferences, Edit display options, which could be handy.
