April 1of2??

They did last year, there was a token hidden near the Lancaster sun-dial in Williamson Park and then later in the same month there was another free Isis that showed a picture that could have been anywhere, but it was also in Williamson Park, and Haggis if I remember correctly found it because he had remembered it when searching for the first one. There was also a pyramid located in the park which makes it even more comparable with the Wensleydale idea.

I've been there, and I don't remember anything looking like it, but I may be wrong, it was a good while ago.

Point taken. If they are likely to repeat a site like that, then have a google around "ice house bedale hall." It's not the one in the clue picture but it's remarkably similar. On The Doc's doorstep as well.

Correct, my son found the location while searching.

Im confused now whether the 'Galaxy' reference was a hoax now or not ??? :? When I first read the PM from PUZZ I immediately thought about 'Dove' (as in the new name for Galaxy) and have googled 'Dove' mill, waterheel, snuff mill, ice house etc etc etc with no joy :(

This one is really hard...

Good to see this as started interest again

I scouted around this area when I went to forbidden corner, wrong type of stone,

Has I have stated, I cannot get out to seach anywhere- but I hope that I can help others.

If you search for Galaxy in the "Game"? = Chocolate, will come up and food- plus who put galaxy in!!!!

Chapel Chocolates is in an old building in St Davids City Wales, plenty of old ruins to check out there- would be nice if somebody could check it out.

Also find images of the 14 Locks and tinplate works in wales!

I dont think we will find a photo that matches the clue - we need to group together and work as a team- I have checked most of the peak district.
where have you been :D :D

Its strange, but if Galaxy had been a clue to the other 'iron-aged nerd' clue it would have fitted in really well with where I think that one is. Perhaps they are near each other.

Have they really changed the name of Galaxy to Dove ? I haven't had that since I was a kid. You'll be telling me they call MArathon something else next

I didn't know galaxy were changing their name to dove, which made me think, one of the early programmes of Bonekickers had a round stone Dove Cot on it, perhaps we are looking for one of these?

I had a wander around the walls of Chester on Friday, which was one of the suggested locations early on. Nothing there that matches - the stone is all the wrong shape and colour anyway (large blocks of sandstone).

So far the North Wales castles I've looked at all had approximately the right wall construction, but nothing matching the picture.

Those holes look too small for floor supports. The only thing I've seen remotely similar (in size and spacing) are gunpowder holes drilled in the rocks at Betws-y-Coed, which were used a crude gun salute device. But I can't see why anyone would put them in a wall like that.

If you look at some old windmills, there are holes just like these. that held a walking platform, check out windmill ruins, the doorway and holes are at the right height.

Just to fair with all that are trying to find this one. I had a clue from Puzz a few days ago:-

a needle and thread, will lower your expectations

Thats two clues to this now (Galaxy Hmmmmm), and I still cannot find it. I am on the right track but finding a description/photo to fit will take time.

Cornett said a while ago that it looked like a mine entrance; was he right?

Needle and thread = seam.
