Plunger question

I finally got my Isis woo hoo, my Eagle arrive today, and it is lush, and smells of enginering oil - which I love (sad but true)!!

I have not started any "serious" attempts to open it yet, but I do have a quick question, having decripted the clues.

My plunger only goes down approx 1/2 cm, if that, and having read clue 6 I think that maybe it should depress further. I know some have said that theirs stuck - do you think mine is stuck?

maybe give it a good twist back and forth,make sure everything is nicely aligned..give it a couple of taps ...sometimes they are machined to too fine a tolerance...

Cheers, I have given that a try, and it is still the same - either that or I am a complete weed!!

I was thinking of getting my hubbie to use brute force, but don't want to do any damage either....

I am lead to believe that the Eagle Isis is internally the same as an ordinary Isis1.
The plunger normally depresses 6.74mm when the Isis is locked.
The plunger normally depresses 3.58mm when at the half way stage.
These figures are measured using a verynear gauge on my Isis1 at the edge of the plunger.
It is very unlikely that you can damage your Isis by using brute force, just don

Thanks Steve, that is a great help (it was more the other way around for me before, that's why saw clue 6 I thought it wasn't just right). Hubbie got it moving, but by god doesn't it hurt your thumbs!!!!!!

Right off to fiddle with it now....
