Direct from SonicWarp. The 1As were a special challenge from PUZZ so have a special riddle to solve, I think.

Question to all of you 1C-ers:

I noticed people talking earlier about "reaching the halfway stage" etc.... does this mean that we follow the original set of clues for this? I also read that the inside is significantly different, but does the same set of clues work?

EEE! I can't wait for this!

Yes and no
Yes- because they normally follow the same general method/idea, (although I cant speak with certainty about the 1C because mine is still shut), but....
No- because there's usually something extra you have to do. In the case of the 1C I feel it's probably just a case of doing even more "extra" things... if you see what I mean

It's not usually a case of the inside being "significantly different", more that it's significantly modified.

Some of the original 11 clues are applicable, not all 11

EEEEE!

It arrived first thing today! Beautiful - black with purple rings, no placenta markings. Sounds intriguing!

Does anyone know if I can register this with my existing account on the website, or do I *have* to make a new account?

Hmmm. My plunger is *really* stiff - keeps catching on the way down so it's really difficult to press in. Is this normal for the 1C?

Funny you should say that actually because I was gona post something similar the other day.

When I got my 1C the first time it had a very stiff plunger so when I got it open I dismantled the whole thing, cleaned it all and lubed it all up and I never had another problem with it after that.
As you know, however, I sent it back a while ago to get it's upgrade. It was fine for a while (when I hadn't played with it much due to Uni commitments) but recently not only is the plunger very stiff again but as you say, it feels like its catching on something.
I think I know what that something is (though can't mention what as we're not in 5% club), but it's now got to the stage where the plunger just stops dead and needs a hard smack to get it free again :?

At first I though it was perhaps supposed to be like that but Im not so sure now.
The annoying thing is that when I give it a smack (or two) to free the plunger I always wonder whether I was nearly there and have just un-done some good work.... I guess there's not a lot that can be done about it though.
For now I'll just treat it as an extra challenge to overcome in the openeing process :?

Oh, and I forgot to update the list before.... :D

The plunger in mine is quite stiff too, and catches half way on occasion! My very first ISIS was like this too, bought back in the year dot  As Bluesign2k mentions, it is a pain when you think you are making progress, but then a slightly harder push completely diminishes your excitement :? It also kills my thumbs!!

I still haven't made any progress with mine, I may have another go in a tick before my daughter wakes from her afternoon nap.

Strangely enough, when I first got the 1C and opened the box it had a lot of oil on it. I dried it all off and then noticed the sticking... so added more 3-in-1! Perhaps the guys at SonicWarp noticed the sticking too :)

On a slightly different note: come on, guys! We can do this! We all need to get back active with this puzzle again! This is just like when I got my Isis last year - aching thumbs, never long without it in my hands!

... Is everyone who has a 1C in the 5% club? We could discuss in there what might have happened to the inside :)
