So which part of the clue refers to the material the man harness was made from?

Yeah ive been on the fence on this one....but Sue does have a point. No where in the riddle does it ask to find the harness material....so you are just left dangling looking for a password-y word?!?!

I mean hannah has done a wonderful job to get this one, but I think I would have been nearer if I opened the dictionary, turned to a random page, closed my eyes and pointed.

Thats my 2 cents anyway!

Well done hannah once again!

I think it just goes to show that it is easy perhaps to read too much into these clues, hence overlooking the simple/obvious:

tell the truth about the artillery round. 'About' implies a property of the 'man harness', and what it is made of is a property of it. I'm happy with that!

Hannah has already mentioned linking 'dite' with 'tell the ladies', and we did play with the possibility of 'koro' being something to do with truth, but as we have seen that was too much!!

If you think this one needed a leap of faith, you should have seen the original London one :!:

Yep this one was another leap of faith. i.e pick a word that looks passwordy from a page of information on a topic the clue mentions. To my mind, the answers should be much more clear cut.

How I look at it now I know the password is ....

We know tell the ladies refers to Angela and her daughter.

The artillery round leads to artillery loop which leads to man harness. So then you are looking for a man harness where there is truth to be revealed.

The truth is that He Man's Chest Harness which is made of Korodite is the source of his power. It is not the Man Harness itself that gives him his power, but the material, therefore that is the key to being the truth !!

It does need some real logical thinking behind it, hence the reason only a few do manage to get the gold !!

I agree with you mystique! Thats how i read how it had been worked out too. I think happyhannah did a great job with the clue to get the answer. If you read how she worked it out i think it's clear how she got there.

Hello,

Just to clarify slighty - this was a huge leap of not-so-logical logic on my part, I'm afraid.

I almost wish that the "dite" = telling + ladies and "koro"= something about truth, as this would just make it all fit a bit more nicely.

Either way, I only got Korodite because it was He-Man's harness. The castle or the sorceress (whose name I still don't know) *could* have been the password, but the artillery knot did lead to the "harness", not anything else about the series.

So, just working with "harness", there isn't really much information that could be used as a password, really, other than the material it was made from. Perhaps it sounded a little flippant when I said it looked like a "passwordy word", but that wasn't my intent... I just meant that of all the information about the (he-)man('s) harness, only the material, Korodite, would be specific (and PUZZish) enough. The fact that the sorceress knew the truth about his identity was just another nice perspective on it.

Heh, I think I've just invented a new adjective. PUZZish.

:)
