looks like a tomb...maybe those are banner pole holes..i can almost picture it brand new with flags around the entrance...kinda like a mine entrance i have seen in west virginia

Does the fact they've used a lintel instead of an arch tell us anything? I feel a bit geeky doing a search for the history of lintels

I don't think the lintel is going to help - if I remember correctly, there are some Egyptian temples that have lintels above doorways.

It's a bit of a humdinger this one.

I wouldn't build up on gold still being in the welsh pyramid, I'm fairly sure its gone. It was one of the original pyramids with its original clue, which, of course, didn't need a password. So unless its been re-stocked and a password developed from the clue, I think only silver remains. I visit North Wales quite regularly and although I know the location, I have never visited the site due to my belief that the gold has been claimed. I'll be going again next week and will make every effort to visit and try my luck.

Was looking at the holes again last night and did a bit of research into castles and holes (sad I know!) The top lot look like they maybe gunholes but the bottom few are too low - unless they had very small soldiers in those days and were into equal ops???!!!

What do you think?

Very small for gun holes, I think they are probably drain holes with a further row underneath to protect whatever is inside the doorway from water ingress. looks like a dark, dingy hole anyway.

I am no where near this. But I looked at the picture and notice a few things for one the holes are evenly space with little or now water marks. Additionally did anyone notice the sunlight in the top right corner? my theory on this, would be that it is a east facing wall because the picture was most likely taken in the even/afternoon and since the sun sets in the west and is visible in the frame then it would make sense... also the fauna (green stuff) on the left and the lack there of on the right side would lead me to believe that there is a drop off on the other side of the short wall on the right.... but like i said these are just random things that I saw. tell me if you guys think that i am way off base.

I'm with you on the drop on the right hand side. As for the Sunlight, I would put that at South facing - because we're quite north of the equator, if you're looking towards the sun, you're generally looking South unless it's early in the morning or late in the evening.

The biggest clue to this picture is whatever that entrance is. I doubt that we're looking at a bridge as most stone/brick bridges will be arched rather than using a lintel. This makes me think it's a door rather than a passage through.

I have heard talk of the S Wales pyramid Need to look for wedding dresses too so IF I can open my Isis when it comes I will try and kill 2 birds with 1 stone

Anyway - back to the April search. Sue - in Wales we have very few NT properties. Instead we have Cadw as I mentioned before. So if anyone is searching it would be worth having a look at their site?

Looking at pic last night with fiance (poor man has been dragged into this already!) we think the wall on the left of the pic is at an angle to the wall with the holes in? A small thing I know but it might help one the location has been revealed?
