Hi all

Very new to this site so bit nervous about posting! Still waiting for my first Isis to arrive in the post but am fascinated by the free searches!

But how hard is this "clue" :? Don't we get any riddles to help us along?!

Now that is a toughie!
Welcome to the site, KJ74. Occasionally, we're just given a picture and we have to work out where it is. Good luck with it!

Thanks ChadH! It seems like a friendly if not competitive place to be?! :D

With that new pic it'll be a case of someone saying oh that's so and so place and off they'll go :( grrrrr

It looks like a castle to me?

Yeah, I'm thinking castles too. Google Image search is very helpful for things like this.

We had one a while ago which was just a picture. A couple of people recognised it straight away. I forget who it was, but one guy saw the picture and recognised it from the holiday that he'd been on a few days before - too far to go back again!!

Bit of pot luck then really?! Will have to start trawling around the castle in my area? But then the chance of getting a coin somewhere in Wales is pretty remote I guess? They all seem to be in England?

BTW that Feb 1st one is doing my head in!! Can't believe you got it so quickly. You are a genius ChadH?! I will have to wait till one of you is kind enough to inform us how you found the "names" of Ade's "friends"?? :?

It's funny you say that about location, because I'm sitting here thinking that it's probably in the South Wales area. I don't know why I'm thinking that, but I am
That Feb search was a pain in the backside. Basically, you have to look through every post on the forum and look out for a very small number in brackets. It took about 6 hours to find them all! I thought I'd solved the location, but it turned out to be a red herring.

Good luck with the search. And good luck with your Isis when you get it.

Well I guess we do have more than our fair share of castles!! Will start having a think about them - plus I'm a Cadw member so can get in for free :D But aren't they meant to be hidden in places where you don't have to pay to get in??

Thanks for that - will have another look - but then I doubt I'll be able to solve the riddle!! Will give it a go though.

Can't wait to get it and open it and then the hunt is on for the Wales pyramid!

I asked Ade about the payment thing, and was told that on the odd occasion they will hide them in a place you have to pay. Normally though, they are in free areas. The one I (nearly) found at Warwick castle was in a public area of the castle grounds, so there was no entrance fee.

some of us have found the Wales pyramid. The gold hoever is still there to the best of my knowledge.

This is a very hard one. I checked all the usual ways of hiding a clue with an image and nothing came up.

Phew, what a stinker!
Yep, my first thought was on the castle line, funnily enough Wales too!
No joy yet, usual search words bring up all sorts, and plenty of it.
Interesting one tho' huh? :?

You make a good point about the water holes having no evidence of water marks... I like.
Agreed, they look more like joist gaps, but perhaps a little close together (vertically) also not in an even line (horizontally), or any indication of floor levels.... argh!? can't quite tell the dimensions in there tho, so not confident on a dismissal of this idea, anything but!
Looks like a dark dungeon, but also intrugued by the theory of a water way...
I keep wondering if there is something in the pic which would indicate its origin, but can't quite see it yet... hmm. :?

EDIT: drainage holes, yes, i think...
