As i have yet to open mine this is clearly just a thought with no confirmation or spoilers, my reasoning only. Maybe the rings have absolutely nothing to do with the puzzle. Just there to throw you off?

I think that they are just for decoration1 But im not sure. the 4th clue gives some implication....

its been posted a few time in the forums that PUZZ said a wee while ago the rings on the isis do have a connection, and he challenged us puzzlers to find out how.

well since I opened mine the first of this year i know the answer to that statement, but as for the connection of the rings, its made known in the 5% club if im not mistaken.

Looking at the glyphs on the rings as pictures only, when you read the clues they sort of match in a vague fashion.
