Yorkshire Pyramid

Postby Dr Iguana » Wed Jan 16, 2008 1:42 pm

I had read in the forums that pyramid hunters must visit in person those places where a pyramid may be, and that telephone calls were frowned upon if not totally forbidden; but I did not realise that Puzz had spun his web so wide as to bend the telephone operators to his will.

Chadh said in this topic some time ago that he thought the Yorkshire Pyramid may be in the town of Hawes and I decided to follow this up.

Now I have never needed much of an excuse for a drive up to Hawes, that highest of the myriad market towns of North Yorkshire, it

Hey Doc,

I need somthing worked on in one of your workshops - can you tell me how to get there?

That should cut the search down to a 7 mile radius

some of what was said DOES in fact fit in with where i have the Pyramid located....

particularly the bit where he says workshop several miles from the shop.

It sounds legit to me - the Doc knows a lot about Pyramid 'keeping' which only a real keeper, or seasoned adventurer would know.

It is entirely legit. The jokey bits are obvious, that's just my style. If you are in any doubt then tune in tomorrow because what I say will start to cost me money, and believe me, I get VERY serious then.

Chadh. You can find me quite easily. Use a heavy helicopter so I can hear you better, cruise up and down over North Yorkshire and when you see a bare arming waving out of a heavily barred rooflight, that's me.

Smartybones. I must admit I do not know the clues that are designed to guide to the pyramid, but how the hell do they tell you about the workshop?

Don't answer that it might be a spoiler.

Good Luck anyway. Happyhannah said you intended trying to find the right place on Sunday so to show earnest I'll tell you something more. This isn't a spoiler because you've got to get there to do this. The place will not be open on Sunday because it isn't worth opening on Sunday till Easter. There is a chance that someone may be there arranging displays. If not, then there is an out-of-hours telephone number on display. Ring that. If you are lucky my wife will come over. If you are unlucky, I'll come as well.

the clue does not, but when i did my reserch into where i **THINK** the location is, it indicates there is a workshop not too far away....

plus your comment on not open Sundays untill easter also fits into my workings....

Hey, Doc. I've got the helicopter on stand by. I just need to file a flight plan, so can you give me the IATA code for your nearest airport, and a distance/heading from there to your workshop.

Should be about 90 minutes. Since it's a bit late, feel free to pass your neighbours phone numbers on to me, and I'll phone them to apologise in advance for the noise.

Chadh. I can do all of that if you really want. I got my pilot's license in '66. Not for choppers though. Don't worry about annoying the neighbours; we get the real bigboys here, those double-ended things, and they never apologise.
Besides, I don't have any neighbours here. They all moved out when I moved in. Just to go back to something you said months ago, we still have THE 1a here.

Smartybones. I can just begin to think where you're coming from with working out the workshop. The workshop is not listed in the same name as my wife's place and we are different trades. Please make sure that the references you are following, paper or web, are up to date.

I'm definitely not Puzz, please don't say that, his heavies will be round here in an hour.
