Does anyone think the "100 white flowers" is a reference to some kind of centenary celebration?

---->also confused<----

I even went down the route of thinking 100 white flowers could be the literal name of the place. No luck searching this avenue.

I think I found it, well the Location anyway :roll: . Going to take the kids down there in the morning. I'm a bit worried, as I think the location may not be open to the public all the time :?

Anyway it all fits nicely and I can believe that not one has "twigged" it yet :D ....

I will report back tomorrow. :lol:

Well I didn't :cry:

This is what I though..I was only joking when I mention Desert Orchid before.. But it turns out that there is a statute of her at Kempton Park race course where her ashes are laid to rest. She was voted the top 100 greatest race horse. So "find 100 white flower" could be top 100 Desert Orchid.

The "Sunrise Radio maiden stakes" was a horse race at Kempton Park also.

When there today, which was also a race day so there was loads of people about and no where to park. Found old desie but there were no wooden planters with flowers in :?

And had a good look but could not find anything. So may be I was wrong or may be I'm just crap at finding hidden coins...I had the right location for the Dover one, spent an hour there and still did not find it :cry:

So if someone goes to Kempton and finds it can you please tell me that it was found somewhere else....

Well, the Desert Orchid link sounds good. The first line of the clue would identify the race course, the second would then narrow down the location - did you look for wooden planters elsewhere? However, the second line contains the word 'port' which is either a naval term or a drink which makes the race course look less likely to me.

The whole '100 white flowers' couldn't literally be 100 white flowers could it since flowers tend to last for a short time, so they wouldn't be 100 white flowers for long.

I've tried looking for a road called 'white flowers' as in an address - no luck.

P.S. I was walking along the sea front and passed a flower bed and thought 'hmmm, that roughly looks like 100 white flowers, any planters nearby?'

there was a location where 100 white poppies were laid as a protest to the iraq war, but I think that was 2006.

Bear in mind, Port could also refer to left (or right - I forget which way).
