Clue help and progress on solving the Isis

A new adventurer begins his journey

Postby Kaoscontrol » Thu Dec 27, 2007 5:55 pm

well hello folks!

i've just begun my isis journey! so hopefully will aim for the riches once i get the blasted thing open! after family gave in and purchased me one for christmas.

Clues, Decyphered and they are indeed a large help. My current problem is........working out how many darn ball bearings are currently in there!!!! myself and family have all played and jiggled too much, and i never even thought to listen to the thing first!

has anyone got any small tips or hints on how to listen precisely how many ball bearings are in it? as i say...it could be 3 it could be 2..........its all a mystery at the moment!

You'll know when you're at the right stage and making progress. Keep following the clues literally and you'll have it open in no time. Read through the posts here on the forum, they're a big help.

Good luck!

well after 2 hours of pain on the fingers....i thought it time to ask the question.

Is there a secret behind getting the 3rd ball bearing to drop? i mean...is there something in the hyroglyphics? do they have to spell something out? or is it just a random assult of turning furiously ?

I'm in the US and didn't find any typos. It's all how you "think" about the clues. Good luck!

Of course they do. They're glyphs! :D I suppose if you consider the glyphs clues, there could be 'typos', but if done right, everything works out fine. Keep trying at it and you'll get there!

Well it seems i'm still on the darn 1st stage still!

no 3rd ball bearing as of yet. from the clue it is pretty clear that the 3rd BB is at the top of the isis and it will work its way down. but then we come to the question.......does this mean the rings have to be put into a certain position? and is there anything that indicates this ANYWHERE?! clues are always welcome on that ;)

and my other question is.....the single isis's on the golden rings.....do they mean anything? or are they purely there as markers for where you have to put the other glyphs into sequence? reason i ask is purely because i have several glyphs on the top ring that won't line up atall with it.....there will be one click and it'll be slightly the the left of it and another click brings it slightly to the right.......

but my main question is...is there a sequence to it all? or is it purely fiddle fiddle and more fiddling

Read the clues again, go through the posts in the forum, yes there is a lot. I know this has been said before (I've said it myself) ALL the information you need is there, honest

Driver speaks (so to type) the truth. I didn't believe it until I did it, but the answer really lies in the clues themselves. Persevere!

Hi Kaoscontrol,

Never fear, persevere! I just opened my Isis, and I hope this post gives you some encouragement that you can get there.

Two things that helped me a lot.

1) Memorize the clues so they stick with you when you need it most.

2) "Throw me the idol, I'll throw you the whip!" Do lots of forum archeology.

Best of Luck!
