These forums are a nice collection of information, unfortunately they don't seem very lively anymore.
I just thought I'd post some information for people who stumble across this in the future.
RAMISIS V1 & V1.1
- The V1 and V1.1 only differ in that the very top of the pyramid was changed from pointy to rounded. The rounded top continues throughout the rest of the product lifecycle.
- Color is copper anodized
- Font on the front says "RAMISIS" in capital letters.
- There is a placenta symbol (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_E ... ieroglyphs Aa1) on the top section
- There are "0" and "1" on the underside corners of the bottom layers to help with orientation.
- Internal key is for a dimple lock, similar to ISIS puzzle.
- Includes an LED circuit inside that lights up the hole in the key chamber.
- Circuit had built-in timer & recorded solve time. Would display a code to allow access to a defunct online leaderboard for how fast the puzzle would be opened.
- Opening the key chamber is only half the puzzle. Reverse navigating the internal maze is the other half. Disassembly is the final step.
RAMISI5
- Made available to members of the ISIS 5% club.
- Slightly more difficult than V1 because the "0" and "1" marks are absent, so keeping track of orientation is more challenging.
- The font on the front shows "RAMISI5" with a 5 for the final "S"
RAMISIS G2
- Alternate color schemes (black/gold, black/blue, gold/blue, etc).
- External font changed to lowercase "Ramisis"
- Top placenta symbol replaced with "G2"
- LED circuit removed.
- Many internal parts of the puzzle are altered (simplified).
- hole in keychamber reduced in size and pentagram around hole removed.
- Internal key is changed to pin-tumbler lock style key. Key is likely non functional in any real lock.
- Puzzle can be reset immediately after opening the key chamber without reverse-solving labyrinth making the puzzle much easier.
DEVIL
- Based off the G2.
- Color scheme is red/black.
- G2 in top layer has devil horns on letter G.
- Has a single internal difference from G2 which can add confusion to solving the puzzle.
