Clue help and progress on solving the Isis

Merry Christmas, where's the aspirin?

Postby pburns3 » Thu Dec 27, 2007 3:16 am

Hey guys, after not sleeping for 30 hours, I have a few questions (I know you probably won't be able to answer a couple). I have all ten clues decrypted, as well as the side of the box. I have tried the 11th clue over and over literally from 8+ feet off the ground. I have made absolutely no progress. I understand that i have to "look beyond" the basic meaning of the clues, but to be honest i have no idea what i am looking for. So a couple of questions.

1. Do I have to decipher the hieroglyphs on the rings themselves in order to release the third ball bearing?
2. Is rotating the plunger thingy necessary to release the ball bearing?
3. Do I have to find hidden meaning in every clue or is it only a couple here and there?
4. Is the information from the side of the box necessary to solve the puzzle?

I don't want to throw this beautiful puzzle through my television so any help would be appreciated.
