JSFT might be something that you will only discover by going there. I remember some of the old clues where there part of the clue was what was written on a manhole cover - from memory part of the clue was a picture of a Viking helmet with the number 75 on it. When somebody went there, they found a manhole cover with VIKING 75 imprinted on it, and then were easily able to follow the rest of the clue from there.

If it wasn't so far away, I'd go and have a look.

Since it states embark the JSFT transporter, I've been thinking of things that the T might stand for, and then working from there - Train, Tour, etc.

I'm fairly sure it's not at Kemble airport as the airport doesn't appear to be something that you can just visit on a regular basis (could be wrong though).

Guys and girls!

I have an apology to make.

After seeing that you were not getting anywhere with the clue I went back and checked the details. I found that I made a mistake when setting the clue. With this in mind I have re-written it below (and made it a little easier).

From Kemble embark the eurofighter T
transporter then come forward 4 times, right?

Unfortunately Martin our web guy is away on holiday and therefore we can not update the free search page until Sunday at the earliest or maybe not until after Christmas.

I am sincerely sorry.

Best regards

I see you're getting your American and European fighters mixed up.

It looks like it's something to do with the airbase but at the same time the security around an airbase probably rules it out. "Eurofighter T" is a type of eurofighter but I don't know what the significance is. What's a "Eurofighter T transporter"? I had thought of an aircraft carrier but the eurofighter can't land on any.

Arrgghh! My brain hurts!

I think the JSF can land on aircraft carriers =)

But the Eurofighter T might be a trainer variant, so it's got two seats instead of one. No idea if there is a transporter at Kemble though, might be something for someone slightly closer to look at =)

lmao

I'm currently serving in the fleet air arm as a trainee observer so this has fallen into place quite quickly.

The Eurofighter is also called the Typhoon.
Both the Eurofighter and the Joint strike fighter are new jets the the MOD is procuring.
The JSF will be able to go on carriers however it isn't in service yet. The Eurofighter is and will be deploying soon. This in mind the Airfield runs an air display every year mainly for historic aircraft so my guess is there maybe a museum there with some sort of display.
Too far for me over Xmas though so the rest is up to you.

The Bristol Aero Collection has a museum in one of the hangars at Kemble Airfield. It houses several non-aircraft exhibits including lorries and platform trucks ('transporter'?) Web site is here

I'l be passing by early in the new year - it looks interesting so I might pop in with my kids.

Tomb Raider anniversary time trials can be put on hold for a while, lol.

Thanks for correcting the mistake before I lost my mind :D

happy new year everyone, this is my first post. I bought an isis for my son for christmas and he opened it last night. I have been following thread for kemble so that I could join him. Anyway spent xmas pouring over probabilities and decided someting to do with the airfield. Came up with some ideas and it lookded like interesting place to visit. phoned the museum this morning and recorded message said open on mondays through winter - good start I had come up with various ideas so made the journey, 100 mile round trip and was so looking forward to search. I could spit (thats not what I said). Airfield closed over Christmas not open until 3rd January. No mention of this on their web sites. Anger very big!! The AV8 cafe also closed were I hoped to start my hunt.
Perhaps I am completely wrong but JSFT stands for Joint Strike Fighter Typhoon, new clue Eurofighter T confirmed this. It flies at Kemble on their show day. Also Eurfighter pilots tested the segway human transporter. Obviously plane not there now but photo gallery is !! telling you this because today was my only chance to go so I am out of the race. Will be interested to learn results when someone finds it. Incidently source of the thames is called isis its only a very short way away. Hope this helps someone - good luck

AV8 isn't open until next week. The museum also has an entrance fee- so not in there.

Also the airfield entrance is guarded and gated, so I am starting to doubt it would be there - with security etc

there is a small entrance fee to museum and that can happen I have read this previously. yes there are gates but you can enter. AV8 is open to the public to watch planes ect.
My son is a pilot and has landed there on several occasions. Also various flying clubs there.

Still think its the place to start

We went through main gate yesterday (they lifted barrier) told us all was closed but we checked anyway.

Hi, I received a very nice apology from the museum yesterday from their web master. He said he hadn't been told about closure, hence not on web site and telephone message not updated. He said he would make sure it didn't happen next christmas !!!! hope its found by then ?
Anyway off to hospital in a few days and not able to drive for 8 weeks but I will keep track on your results.
Hope someone finds it soon my brain won't leave it alone, sooooooo frustrating I wan't to go back.

What time are you going? Might see you in the coffee shop/restaurant :P

Only joking. Trying to sort my back out before I do too much searching.

Good luck with it anyway. I honestly really hope you find it coz it's doing my head in!

I've swapped my attention to the Eternity II puzzle at the moment. Got it for christmas, as it only cost
