Apologies for the delay in posting, I didn't realise that I hadn't registered until I tried to post and then there was a slight delay with the activation.

Anyway, I saw this topic on Tuesday morning and after a quick google realised this was close by (about half an hour away). Seeing as the forecast was for rain all day I thought that this might put a few people off and mean I would be in with a chance.

Before I left home I knew I was going to Ferry Meadows Country Park and that I was looking for the sculpture in picture.

Once there I found that a map at the visitor centre (not open at the time) showed a number of sculptures in the park but not which was which. So I mentally plotted a route around the park that would take in all the sculptures.

About an hour and a half later, soaking wet from the persistent rain, I had found all but one of the sculptures, i.e. the one in the picture.
As I turned towards the final one, I could see from a distance that it was the one I wanted. By now I was just concerned that someone would have already beaten me to it.

Standing at the sculpture the clues just fell into place, I couldn't believe it.
Looking towards the watersport lake I was next to were two bouy/markers in the water numbered 2 and 3 (one to my left and one to my right). At the waters edge there were many fishing pitches each numbered and right in front of me was number 78. Then it was just a question of poking around the rocks on the shoreline. Within just I few seconds I spotted the token. Until that moment I really thought that someone would have got there before me. Very happy with my find I made way back to the car park oblivious to the fact that I was soaked through.

Lessons learnt
check google earth - you can see the actual sculpture on there
get into the mind of the puzzle setter - I should have gone towards the most distant, most awkward to get to sculpture first and saved myself a couple of hours!

To be honest I think this was probably one of the easier Free Isis to found judging by some of the posts on this board. I believe most people once they found the sculpture would have found it although I have done some geocaching in the past which may have help.

Now I just need to open the Isis and then I can start looking for pyramids.

very well done, very quick aswell!
i too used the "other people would be put off" method to find my free isis.
although my idea was that people went to a ski resort to ski not hunt isis, so i went on a 1400 mile round trip and found it!
you didnt go quite as far, but still very well done!

now your adventure begins!!

Within just I few seconds I spotted the token.

If you are following the August 1/3 you will realise I'm tearing my hair out over the little blighter!
The question is that you mention a 'token' what sort of 'token' are we talking about? Colour, size, inscription etc? Any help would be useful before my family have me committed!!!

It seems that sometimes rather than hiding the actual Isis out in the country a token is placed instead.
What I found was an item much smaller than an Isis - possible due to lack of a large hiding space and of almost negligable value - meaning if someone not looking for it found they would probably leave it there.
It had Isis Search August 3 of 3 and a code to be quoted written on it.
I could tell you exactly what it was but I don't know if I am allowed to.
Additionally that may be more of a hinderance than a help as then you will be looking for something specific and of it may not be the same for your search.
To be honest when I was searching I was expecting a token and not an Isis as the last descriptions of previous finds I had read also indicated finding tokens.
The only thing I can suggest is reading about the previous finds for possible ideas.

Yep, my find was an isis instruction booklet wrapped inside a tissue bag. It also had a code, phone number and isis date on it. It seems that an item other than an isis is prefered to minimise the risk of it being found/taken by a non isis hunter. (as has happened in the past)

I know it doesnt help much but it appears that some of the clues to free isis hidden in the north are more descriptive than the clues to the isis hidden in the south. They seem to be open to greater interpretation (Just my gut feelings). Do you know what the 'AND' refers to?
