It looks like the obvious places have been checked.

If the clues are literal I make it 38 possible sites, if they are more cryptic there is 15 square miles to check out

tried to get this one,
had to go on the train via reading,
and because of delays, i was stuck in reading station for 4 hours.
Maybe i just wasn't meant to get this one!

I went out on Wednesday and took a look around but couldn't find it (and it's taken me this long to find my username and password for the forums!) Had a good look around 5,6 & 8 and got very excited when I found a big silvery 'X', but no Isis. It looked like someone had been there before me too, so I bet someone else knows where I mean

It's not flooded now, but is a bit wet in places. I made it around comfortably in work clothes without getting muddy, so I wouldn't let that deter you. Good luck to anyone who is going this weekend - it may just be my shoddy map-reading, but I think the map around CC is a little misleading, particularly heading clockwise from 8, but it's pretty easy to get where you want to be.

Does anyone know anything about those huge concrete octagons?

Tank traps, eh? I wonder how they trapped tanks with massive lumps of concrete? Heading back tomorrow after work so will take another look at them. Still not got any better ideas than wander aimlessly around 5,6 & 8 looking for something that might be a 'X' though. Will update again on the wateryfloodedness (and I'm presuming that a sudden deluge isn't going to have affected this search too badly, otherwise I'm sure SW would have mentioned it by now).
