SW are currently reducing the number of silver coins per pyramid, so maybe it is enabling them to release more pyramids & gold coins? I think this is a fair compromise.

I'm with guitarstar3000 :) Silver coins enable people like me to take part in, and have a great souvenir from the adventure. I can't drop everything to go in search of a pyramid and I'm not very good at word puzzles, so I think it would be virtually impossible for me to pick out a pyramid before anyone else! If there were no silver coins, I would never get a coin, and I'd hate that. For many months I thought you had to send the silver coin back to SW to receive the

Silver

Postby Featherbe » Tue Jul 03, 2007 4:24 pm

Looks like I'm alone on being rid of the silver coins!

The whole idea behind this was to increase the number of golds at limited expense to SW and have them placed evenly around the country, bringing more people into play.

Once you have a silver you can't go for a gold and you would be gutted should another pyramid be placed near you with a gold in it.

I think I'm with Karen_G and Guitarstar3000. If I'm lucky enough to get a gold, all good, but if I had a silver coin, I'd rather keep it as a memento

silver

Postby Featherbe » Tue Jul 03, 2007 4:49 pm

ouch, another crushing blow in my one man crusade...

opening the isis, solving the clue and then finding a pyramid...all tough in their own right, collectively a mountain of a task...and all you would be happy with is a silver coin? To complete such a journey deserves more.

personally, I believe the ISIS puzzle itself is head and shoulders above the silver coin as a memento.

Im sorry to say this Featherbe but I too would be happy with a silver as a memento :?

I had a chance at one when there was a pyramid in the bullring, at the time I thought it would be a bit of a waste since there were still gold coins.
But like Karen said, I'm not all that great at word puzzles and riddles (damn ISIS 1A!!! lol) and I don't have time etc to go traveling around the country searching at the moment.

I got all excited and started on the whole pyramid thing again when the cov pyramid showed up, but just when I thought I was getting somewhere with it it got blocked

So if I do ever find another pyramid then yes, I'd be happy with a silver coin, and yes, I'd keep it as a memento :D

What is happening with the block on the pyramids? I thought it was only temporary?? Are they still really blocked?

Sorry featherbe, I really understand what you are saying :) I think we just look at the idea of the game differently. For me the reward is being one of the few (or many??) to have opened their ISIS, that on it's own had me jumping around the house for days  The trip into Birmingham to pick up my silver coin was also really good fun - I'm not saying

I might be wrong but I think only the IOM pyramid is still around from the ones that where blocked, I guess the others aren't coming back :?

Thats ok Karen-G. :)

Just trying to think of ways to avoid the whole going into a shop and quoting a password etc..it was bad enough going to the South Coast pyramid and asking them if they had one and then opening it in front of a dozen or so people.

Plus, pyramids are so few and far between resulting in long, long periods of inactivity for searchers. Pyramids appear and then disappear. Are there problems at the stores where they are held? Do their staff really want the whole give me a password and I'll check it etc with SW when they have enough work to do as it is?

hi.

I just opened my isis. and there are a few questions on my mind.

1. has anyone solved a OLD location and password clue? if so then can you discribe how you solved the location and password?

(for me the hard part is where does the location hint end and the password part begin)

2. when you find and open a pyramid, and there is only a silver coin, are we able to reject the silver coin and try our luck at another pyramide?

THX

Hi Maggisam :)

Congratulations on opening your ISIS :D

Sorry, but I have never solved a password pyramid clue, so I'm unable to help you on that one, but as for your second question, you are allowed to walk away from a pyramid without taking a Silver coin :)

Good luck with the hunt :)

Magissam,
it used to be that the pyramid location clue, and the password clue are separated by means of a paragraph spacing,
or by mention of a secret of word or password.
however now the passwords are much harder as they don't draw a line between the pyramid location clue and the password clue,
so im afraid there is no real answer to your question!
I guess the easiest way to do it is to work out the pyramid clue,
then whatever is left over is presumably the password clue.
and congrats on opening the isis :D

I agree, there used to be a relatively clear break between the pyramid clue and the password clue but the more recent ones are merged. I think some of the pyramids in which the password element is clear still exists.
i.e. IOM, Ireland, Scotland etc. A couple on the map are original ones and I dont think they have a password associated. Then there are a couple of real stinkers...

Where are you located?

Cheers
