The Isis Adventure

Hi to all,

As of friday 12/09/08 the second belgian free ISIS has been found.
The clue was:

From Bassigny to Erasmus
Barbara is watching
The bird flies 12000 on 133


From Bassigny to Erasmus referred to the Meuse river.
Its source is located in Bassigny (a French town) and the river ends below the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam.

Barbara is watching referred to the St Barbara cathedral, a cathedral located in Eisden



The bird flies 12000 on 133 referred to something way more difficult.
Those numbers are the main reason why it hasn't been found for so long.
Near the cathedral, there is a domain with some mountainbikeroutes in it.
One of those routes is called "the eaglesroute" and another one, "the mountainroute" is 12km long.
All by all, this isn't that hard, but if you google the place, it says that the mountainroute is 13km long.
This is very annoying, because if I had known that, i would have found it a month sooner.

So now we still have the 133.
That referred to 133° If you were at the right place, you were able to see the cathedral at 133°


That place was a bunkerlike structure.
Inside that bunker were 2 rubbish chutes.



The ISIS was hidden on the side of one.
At approximatly 3-4 metres high.

Congrats on your find - and thanks for the solution.

My free Isis arrived pretty quickly, but that was to a UK address.
I suspect there may be some delay though due to the imminent (hopefully) release of the Isis 2. Also, coupled with the bad news that SW had recently, it may take even longer.

mine came quick as well seems in about a week for the one isis and about a few days after that the other isis to arrived. they are speedy with the delivery

That indeed suggests 'they' are very busy at the moment (or maybe keeping the website up-to-date is just low priority).
- The French found freesearch (#4) is not yet marked as such either.
- The 3rd Belgian free search is not even added to the list.
Give 'them' some time, and then some more, and then ...

In the mean time, please post some pictures if you have them, and practice doing push-ups on your thumbs!
Do you have coordinates of the correct location or can you point it out on a map? I still don't know the location.

I agree with Lou on that they havent updated my June 2 found as well so dont sweat it just give it time it'll be there eventually, some ppl have waited a month I think to recieve there free one.

hi and congratulations on your finds!
we are only mods here in the forum, nothing really to do with the website or its updates. Ade used to be part of the SW team and all the admins and mods chat with SW regularly to pass information to them and from them.
As you have rightly said SW are extremely busy at the moment and the web updates may have slipped slightly, but rest assured they will be updated soon!!

I sent a mail yesterday, with some questions...
They sent me a reply that said that they'll send it this afternoon
At some point, something must have gone wrong, because I've told Amerone that I had found it,
and allready sent SonicWarp that I had found it.
Turns out that I've been waiting 2 weeks for nothing

ouch, they been really busy with this release of ramisis coming up most likely but hey look on the bright side your gonna get one lol

but I am waiting for a ball, which I can't open,
because I don't have the hints I need to decrypt...
I'm gonna get an ISIS anyway,
can someone send me the files I'll need to decode?

The clues are acessible via a link hidden in the "clues and progress" forum.
Go look it up yamahito, yhat's a nice searching exercise, you wil be doing a lot more of that later!

once you have your isis,and register it you will be able to download the encrypted clues for free...decyphering them is easy ...understanding the decyphered clues is a whole other mess.. ..good luck and happy hunting

I now know some stuff I rather hadn't...
Can someone send me the encrypted files so that I don't have to read anymore what stages I have to go through?

oh sweet sweet ignorance... i remeber those days..there isnt any posts (that are factual) that tell you how to open the isis,that would be copyright enfringement....if you think you saw a "spoiler" on this forum it is probably a red herring.....the other forums offer "spoilers",and that is exactly what they are ..adventure spoilers...even with the clues it is still no walk in the park....even when you are sure you know the procedure ,it is still no where near "easy"...i sometimes have trouble with my isis,and i know exactly what is required....i have seen posters say what you are saying and the next week be begging for hints...have fun,..there is no rush..the riddles are not going anywhere
and above all...if you are feeling extra stress in your life due to this "game"..this "toy"...the enjoyment levels will drop...after you get your isis i would be more than happy to help you along with non spoiling clues ..we all would ..no worries
