I gave in to temptation today and visited the home. I see the problem, all my ideas that looked good in two dimensions on Google Earth weren't practical in the real world. Taking the front door as the point of reference doesn't give too many of the right hiding places around 200 paces away and most of them are fenced off. (presumably to keep the deer out). And if the front door isn't the reference point, what is?, the side gate ?, the entrances to the estate ?
I'm inclined to agree that this 200 paces may not be as straightforward as a distance, it's a conveniently round number and quite a long way.
God knows what its like at weekends there were masses of people, quite a lot of reindeer and a couple of peacocks there this afternoon. If you think its inside the ruins or garden, be warned they are only unlocked for access Wed, Thur, Sat and Sun between 2 and 5 pm and Sunday morning beteen 10 and 12:30. The park is open every day though. If it is inside the ruins I hope its not under that poisonous plant
