Typhoon woes

Postby golderm » Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:02 pm

Hi everyone,

Long time listener first time caller blah blah blah lol

Anywho a little tale for your amusement, a few weeks back i had a stab at this so after a meal at the o2 i coaxed my partner to agree to wait for the Typhoon :D
2 boats later and lots of questions about why i wanted that special boat, I didnt have the guts to say i was hunting treasure so it was a confusing "I just like that one" to which one nice man told me the smaller ones are just as safe and won't sink, again too embarassed i just smiled and nodded. Anyway the current boat was good enough to radio someone and told me the Typhoon was up by Tower Bridge heading this way!

2 boats and 20 minutes later no Typhoon so i had to concede to my partner and board the Cyclone i think, well if only it was as simple as admitting defeat but instead as soon as we seated two police officers appeared from nowhere and proclaimed they were going to search us under some terrorism act!
And you all thought getting dodgy looks off people thinking you were terrorists were bad!

ps colin@tina when are you going? I've built the courage up to have another go although still confused as to front back left right etc lol

Ha! that's a good story! The only time I've been free ISIS hunting was at about 7 in the morning when hardly anyone was around, and we still felt decidedly guilty! :D

Me thinks a bribe to the staff is in order for a rough location 8)

Hello all!

It's been a while for me but I finally have enough work out of the way to crack on with some hunting. I think I'll give this one a crack tomorrow as I'll be by the thames in the morning. Though I now know this will have a detrimental effect on the educational advances of colin@tina's child! So it causes somewhat of a dilemma! Will he still go on the trip even if you don't get to raffle it? I'd feel awful otherwise (presuming I find it that is!).

Let me know early!

Und immer fragt der Seufzer: Wo?
Im Geisterhauch tönts mir zurück,
Dort, wo du nichts bist, dort ist das Glück.
