Wellcome to the Isis Adventure Trig.

The Iphone one is easy, if you have a look at the photo using Google's free photo editor 'Picasa' it will give you the details of the camera that took the photo.

How are you supposed to work ou where it is? I see Toxophilite reckons he/she knows where it is and how does Driver know the picture taker has an Iphone. Begining to think there are deeper minds at work here than mine. Any clues tips directions received with thanks..

My idea is only a hunch I can't find a photo on the Internet that would confirm it beyond all doubt. Looking at your location, I think you should be very interested if it is the correct place.
On the matter of the phone I believe that the iphone 3Gs is capable of GPS tagging images, it doesn't appear to have been turned on for this photo though :(

I have had a bit of a look at what's been written on here and a bit of a search on t' tinterweb and I reckon that while I'm not on the doorstep I'm not a million miles away either.

I still think that where you think it is is a bit too obvious, I think Puzz eased us back in gently with the others, and this is going to end up as one of his stinkers!! I am looking at other options, so if I am wrong please someone find it quickly so i don't wear my little grey cells out!

Yes it is obvious but there is still a nagging doubt in my mind. I have searched around for more info but its scarce. The view on Google earth is slightly encouraging but again not really enough. I am tempted to throw caution (and a few gallons of fuel) to the wind and have a ride out on Friday, (providing its a nice day of course). Will see....

I just found a picture of them on T'Internet. Definitely the right place it's the other one that has had the restoration work done on it. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one :D

Best of luck Batkaz hope you find it. Been having a look around on the forum and some people seem quite prepared to travel some distance to get their hands on one of these. Perhaps I should have had a go myself, 140 mile round trip seems quite a way to me though, must be the Yorkshire upbringing.

140 miles ? , that's on your doorstep  - Lightning never strikes in the same place twice. (well it has actually but that's another story)

Usually the coins are hidden in an area of some natural beauty or interest, so it is often worth combining the adventure with a day out. This one is no exception, a couple of very interesting places to the North and East.

Looks like puzz (or one of is team) as been visiting stately Homes with this one and BG being places of interest.
I've seen the photos on the internet but there was a lot of entrances to this stately home, anyway "her in doors wants to come with me" she tried of the fish n chips at Grimsby wants to try them in Scarborough. So it wont be a wasted day, also am lucky to have a Iphone, so going onto the net and letting the adventures know if I discover the coin or not will be instantaneous.

I should qualify that you don't usually have to pay more than a modest car parking fee to gain access to most of the coins. They are rarely in locations that require an expensive entry fee.

You certainly don't need to pay any fees to access this one
