The rocks look wet, could be a spring?

Hi all,

This is my first post after being introduced to the Isis puzzle, and this site, by my brother (Skizz) at the weekend.

First thing I noticed about this picture is the rather prominant white dots on the cliff face. They are probably just differences in the colour of the rocks and quite natural - if you blow the picture up they do kind of jump out at you though.

Could be something, could be nothing. No idea what it could mean.

BTW - has anyone ever applied steganography decryption to these clue images?

Yeah, I have done to some of them in the past, but never found anything. After they were found, there was no indication that anything additional had been hidden in the file.

I think the closest we ever got to something like that was that one of the images had a clue hidden in the name of the file.

Probably the best suggestion anyone has come up with so far xmarks.

Its about an hour away from me but I just dont have the time over the next week to go and have a look for you.
Some confirmation (i.e. a hint) would be nice....

Maybe it is maybe it isn’t, I’m not sure.

We went to Blackstone Edge trig pillar today but failed miserably. To be truthful I was a little wary about setting off up the hill with it shrouded in mist but we got there. We looked around all sides of the pillar but couldn’t find any rocks that looked promising. In fact we couldn’t really find a place where the photo may have been taken from. We found places where the pillar in the background looked right(ish) but the rocks in the foreground didn’t look right. We found places where the rocks in the foreground looked reasonable but the pillar in the background looked wrong. The walk was pleasant albeit a bit muddy and once the mist had cleared the view was stunning. I can’t see us trailing up there again without it being a lot drier under foot.

This is the pillar itself

And again, trying to match things up. This particular direction was the only one that resembled the pillar part of the clue picture in any way.

Ah well, thanks for trying Driver. Looks a good place to hide something though :D I'm sure it's going to be somewhere similar.

Just thinking about it, the millstone grit around the Blackstone edge area looks different to the rock in the clue picture.
