Don't know if this has anything to do with this search but, there is a Ten Shilling Wood situated in Canley near Coventry. Pre UK decimal coinage was pounds, shillings and pence (£sd). Ten shillings = 50p.

Another quick look along the same lines. The tree under which Tolpuddle Martyrs met is now no more than a stump. They asked the employers for a pay rise from 7 shillings to 10 shillings. Instead their pay was cut to 6 shillings.

Aw, a wishing stump!

ooo... went there last september for a geography field trip... even had to sketch that waterfall, and walk past that tree stump! it is a very nice area! and Malham Cove is amazing!!!!

When i googled the 50p thing, it came up with 50 paces too, it seems to be a walkers/hikers thing.

This should inject some life into this search,
a small clue or two from SW......

1. Iron-aged counts as one word, not two.

2. Two lines are 100% TRUE,
Two lines are NOT.

Good luck and happy hunting!!

Thanks Bing, I had identified a place to look and was all set to go, but now you've put me off completely :? . I found myself looking at something in a newspaper recently that seemed to fit with the first line. I researched it a bit more and it seemed to fit perfectly and did lead me to a location, that fitted with the rest of the riddle. Admittedly I didn't take one of the lines too literally so maybe I am on the right track. Still confused about 'iron-aged' and the use of 'our roots' rather than 'the roots' or 'it's roots', is it implying our heritage or origin :?:

I've not been doing much one this one. here are a few suggestions:-

ABERYSTWYTH was a iron aged town. this town as one of the best universities in the uk (Nerd)
The National Library at Aberystwyth is really the starting point for those researching their Welsh family History
Only 50 Pubs left in Aberystwyth

As Puzz hidden a Isis in Wales!!!
