not sure if its in london, the house of commons is though, in westminster if that helps.

just had a thought, they couldnt hide it in the house of commons surely, as it may be looked at as a terrorist thing, and i also think they wouldnt be so keen on people rummaging around looking for a coin.
Also would find it hard to believe it to be hidden in a underground station for a similar reason, not to mention tramps would swipe it instantly.

If SW still follow geocache ground rules then Westminster (all of!) is off limits without authorisation from the police. There was a big thread on the GC forums about cache locations in Green, Hyde Park and other street locations. All treasure hunt style things have to be notified to a dept. of the Met with the co-ords etc.. this avoids confusion over the publics motive should a Police officer witness persons behaving wierd in a particular location.

wow really? So the police are trusted with the locations? Its definately a good thing for security, but cant help but being paranoid they would use the information.

ok so guessing its not going to be in there then. Beginning to think that the reality part is maybe a signpost for a club or restuarant etc. which would be to the east, then the coin would be to the west (me). Better safe than sorry has to mean more than be safe. Hell maybe hanna's right, it might be a train station with the mind the gap stay behind the line, (which mixes with better safe than sorry), bank could be the embankment, but im so dubious as tramps know those places inside out, the coin would surely be found and taken within a matter of hours.

Guys and Girls,

I must let you know I have discovered that the "line at the bank" is actually 8.8% off from the intended line.

Hope this helps!

I know it's a bit late, but it just occured to me that '8.8% from the intended line' might be a reference to magnetic variation, specifically, the prime meridian (where east meets west).

I second Lodgecrest's call for an answer!

I had it down to the Millenium Sundial on the North bank of Greenwich Park boating lake. The line on the base of the sundial was supposed to lie on the Prime Meridian but the architect messed up and it is actually two metres to the West. So the real meridian is two metres to the East of the line at the bank and possibly the coin (Me) is to the West of it. 8.8% could then be the percentage of the distance to the coin putting it in the region of 20 metres to the West of the Sundial. The lake is drained this time of year for safety hence 'Better safe than sorry'. The park is only a short bus ride from the O2 dome.

Just a thought, come on someone, let us know.

Reading Toxophilite's post and the clue, the 'me' is probably the sundial itself. In which case, there's a chance it was accidentally found as it is something people will look at a lot. I assume the coins have contact details on them? which means someone could find it and claim the prize without knowingly looking for it.

As it does not seem like we are going to get an explanation from the finder here is mine.

Toe the line at the bank,

This indeed makes reference to the prime meridian, more specifically an art installation called "Time Piece" on the south BANK of the Thames near the O2 Dome.

Reality to the East, me to the West.

Slightly to the East of the "Time Piece" is another art installation called "Slice of Reality" Slightly to the West was the hiding place of the Isis/coin.

Better safe than sorry.

The coin was hidden behind a sign informing you of the number to call in case of an emergency.

The 8.8% inacurracy comes from the fact that when I went back to check that the coin was still there I found that instead of "Time Piece" being on the meridian, 0 degrees, 0.00000 minutes it was actually (according to my GPS) at 0 degrees and 0.0880 minutes.

Pictures of the area can be seen at:
http://www.gold.ac.uk/world/wnews/domewalk.html

Thanks for playing and congrats to whoever found it.
