I'm with Lodgecrest! It's not on the boat. There are no clocks that I could see and you're not allowed on the foredeck while the boat is in motion. This leaves you with a window of about 20 secs while the boat is at each pier to nip around having a look. Assuming the clipper staff let you look around! I'm sure the ticket guy on the boat today was on the verge of calling the police. When he asked what I was doing fiddling with the lifejackets under the seat I just nervously laughed and sheepishly explained I was on a treasure hunt. Fortunately I got given the 'how old are you?' look, not the 'Panic button,' look!

I think it's back to the piers again. Unless Lodgecrest has another train of thought on the matter?
Ich wandle still, bin wenig froh,
Und immer fragt der Seufzer: Wo?
Im Geisterhauch tönts mir zurück,
Dort, wo du nichts bist, dort ist das Glück.

Under the seats are the life vests which are checked once a week, as apparently they go missing quite a lot. Also the cleaner go in every night to give the boat a once over apparently they find lots of stuff, like coins that have fallen out passenger

Just had a wonderful thought
Perhaps because of cleaners etc. crew are probably aware of the hidding place and know they must leave it alone (perhaps they get a free isis  )
If so Lil pip and dooners get your a... down there, show a bit of cleavage, bat your eyes, pretend to be a helpless female, ------- who knows :?:
Oh god I wish I could drive.

Spent the whole weekend worrying that Lodgecrest was going to get this one and that it would be agonizingly close to where I'd been looking. Might get another chance to scour the riverbanks tomorrow so the race is still on!

I had a really crazy idea about the location - somewhere near the Cutty Sark! It is a tea clipper. Ok, probably a bit far fetched.

And how do you think it burnt down, eh? Someone hiding something, tripped, dropped lit cigarette, whoosh!
