last time I entered a password online (I can't remember whether it was the password checker or a virtual pyramid), it asked me to confirm my entry. The confirmation had been converted entirely to lower case, and had all spaces, punctuation removed.

As a result, I don't think it's case sensitive - it would be really unfair if it was.

Passwords are NOT case sensitive, but may contain letters, numbers or both.

They do not contain any punctuation.

All passwords are in English format

Hi All,

I'm am quite new to this as I only got my Isis a week ago! I was really excited and worked on it all day until I finally opened it whoop whoop! put in my internal code and was subsequently told that I have to pay for a membership to gain access to the pyramids, ok its only £20 for a year or £2 for a month what the hell. I selected my pyramid and started working on the clue, spending all day doing this is quite exhusting. I took my time as I knew that I only had 1 shot every 3.5 days unless I purchased yet more things this time password checkers at £3.50 a try!!!!!! this is absolutly ridiculous I paid £99 for my ball then paid for my membership and now I can't even access my free password try!! come on!

Hi ddeaks,
Congratulations on opening your Isis, and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately there are additional costs if you want to take part in the adventure,
But these costs are minimal if you manage to solve one of the riddles first, especially if you were to win the 10k pyramid.
The trick is to find a pyramid that has not already been solved, which one did you pick?

Hi Steve,

I understand what your saying Steve but on the site it says I can check it for free every 3.5 days but every time I try it tells me that I have to purchase checkers at £3.50 a time. Why is this so misleading?

The password checker has never been free and it's a relatively new addition. It's only free to walk into the location and attempt a password in person. So it's great if you live very close, but if you have to travel it's cheaper to pay for an attempt or at least that's the idea behind it. Still it can get expensive given how many possible answers there are and then there are the variations of words and/or phrases since the checker is not smart enough to know that "Answer" and "TheAnswer" should be the same.

Hi unless I'm reading this completely wrong I just went online to check the rules and rule 4 clearly says one online password guess is allowed every 3.5 days!

Yes, you get 1 guess every 3.5 days through the online checker, but it doesn't say that the guess is free.

Well thats a great shame as now I merely believe that this "adventure" is a rip off and I will certainly not be participating any further.

That's most unfortunate, dddeaks; we'd hate to lose another adventurer! The password checker is really a "cheat" tool anyway. Here's the thing: if you KNOW the password, you don't need the checker; when you know it, you know it, you know? If you had unlimited guesses for free on the checker, why even have a riddle? These are supposed to be hard! There's only one gold coin in each pyramid and I'm not really sure how many silver for each pyramid, but keep in mind that we're competing for money here! Save your guesses for the real pyramid in person, that's my suggestion, or if you absolutely MUST check it before hand, use the checker only when you're absolutely SURE you've got the password figured out. It's not really fun to make a bunch of half-researched guesses, right? Stay with it, work hard, and the adventure really is worth it!

Then again it's not that fun (or cheap) to try a bunch of completely over researched guesses either
