I'm sure I've seen that artwork on the Sentinel before. Was it the prototype artwork for the NK that was on the website back in the early days of the adventure around 2006/7 ?

Any hints on how to solve the Sentinel? This thing has me stumped...

I believe it's locked differently than the nkryptor which I never had but the dimensions look the same. At the moment I have it 2/3rds of the way figured out.

NKryptor was a piece of cake to open but the Sentinel won't budge no matter what I do haha.

Ok, I just got this puzzle (the sentinel) and I already love it. It's so hard. I kinda understand the basis on how it opens but that doesn't mean I know HOW it opens. I got it to budge about maybe a quarter inch but couldn't get any further so I thought maybe I skipped a step so I banged it on my hand again and again trying to push iyt back closed after each hit. I got it closed again but it took a fair bit of force to do so. My question is this. Given how the puzzle is designed. Is it possible I broke or damaged my puzzle by doing this? Cause now I can't get it to budge at all. I'm hoping thats just because I haven't figured out the trick to get it back open a bit again yet. I'm thinking that seeing how i'm guessing it's kinda configured inside, if i'm right then no matter how much force you use it's not gonna hurt it...and it's not gonna open it either. I don't want to know how it works. all I wanna know is did I damage it? Any help would be greatly appreciated cause if I did there's no sense in wasting my time anymore trying to open it if it's just not gonna happen Thanks and happy holidays.

Ok first it's the exact same puzzle as the Nkryptor just a different engraving...

As for breaking it. I'm betting you did not damage it. I've had a problem or 2 putting it back together where it was slightly off and I had to use a mallet to get it fixed with no lasting damage. Just trying to slide it open with force is not going to do anything, you need to find the "trick" or "tricks" as the case may be

I got my sentinel today... and within 2 hours I had it open... the thing that makes it challenging is the clue inside... and there is a time limit
