Isis 1C

The area for discussion about the Isis

So, ummm... is anyone any further on with this?

I found some puzzles on eBay that I thought might bear some resemblance to the inner workings of the 1C - certainly would rattle like it!

The 2 on the left of the main image, I have tried, they are not hard, but as infuriating as one of Puzz's riddles.
However all of them only have 2 things in common with the Isis 1C,
Firstly they are puzzles.
Secondly they use BBs.

Anyone got any further with this?
I'e pretty much gien up with it. I just can't get it to the halfway stage! It got there once, but that was only after I had left it alone for a few days! I just picked, it up, pressed the plunger and it went straight to the halfway stage :? I can see why Richardm19 sold it to me! It's driving me crazy!

ARGH!!!

I've got to the halfway stage but I just can't get any further! After spending some time with it last night I just suddenly got it there, then wrestled with it for another half hour before my thumbs fell off. It's currently clamped upright on my desk so that nothing inside moves! I daren't move it in case I lose the halfway stage again. I can't believe it - I must be close now!

I need to find a way of keeping the "right amount of pressure" without killing my thumbs. A small g-clamp, perhaps? That would certainly give my thumbs a rest while I play around a bit more with it. I notice that the plunger is the same diameter as a wine cork so perhaps I could cut one to fit in and keep it pressed in...

With all the other Isis, the ½ way stage is actually nearer to being the ¾ way stage; with the 1C it is nearer ½ way.

Congratulations on getting that far with it! I still haven't found the half way stage on mine  lol

As for a thumb saver, I made a plug out of tin foil, it works pretty well, it means that you can hold the plunger down with the palm of your hand :D
