I don't seem to have much luck with the 1b!! I managed to open my first 1b after about 3 weeks, but something was wrong with it, so I had to send it back .. I now have another 1b, which arrived the same time as my 1c, I don't want to say how I know this, but it appears that this 1b is actually a 1c in disguise  I've tried for weeks and I can't get past the half way stage! I don't want to give in and send it back again, so I keep trying

Congratulations on opening your 1b :D And best of luck with the 1c! Mine is still firmly closed

you must have mis understood ive opened the normal 1 and the 1B is on its way to me.

The 1c stays on the shelf ill wait till more have opened theirs................its tax year end here and 13 hours a days work is not conducive to solving non numeric puzzles

Sorry, yes, I did misread your previous post, I though it was the 1b that you solved in a week.

It's hard to say how long it will take you to open the 1b, but working 13 hour days can't help! I hope you get some time off soon :) The 1b is harder to open than the regular ISIS, but it's not what I class as "almost impossible" like the 1c  Best of luck with it :)

stet,
I also have an Isis 1B, I opened mine within the first day, the only other think to say is that the 1B will take longer to open that an ordinary Isis but shorter than the 1C.

:D Good luck with both. :D

Yes, I do :)
No, they're not the same, but I believe they are similar.
I haven't really taken a good look inside as it was actually a gift for my dad and I only opened it to prove it could be done (because he said he thought it was broke because he couldn't open it... lol. beginners mistake!).
From talking to people with 1Bs though they do seem to be a bit of an anomaly in so far as they all seem a little different... and then there's Karen's which appears to be having a total identity crisis :?

With my Isis, the 1B is the easiest of the modified ones to open, then the 1A and then the 1C.
In my mind the 1A and 1B are the wrong way round.
The 1B is the closest relative to the original Isis.
The 1A is more like a modified 1B.
And the 1C is just totally different.
I spoke to Karen about her 1B and figured that it is probably a 1C.
Once/if all the remaining Bs and Cs are open, it will be interesting to find out if any other modified Isis have an identity crisis.

We now know where all the Isis 1As and 1Cs are but I can not find a list of all the 1Bs, how many are there? And who has them?

I'd probably have to agree with you there. As I said, I didn't have a chance to study the 1B too hard as it wasn't realy mine to open, but I did mangae to open it within a matter of minutes.
I've always assume this was because I had a good idea of what I was supposed to be doing having already opened a 1A... but the 1A still takes me longer to open usually :?

On a slightly different note, since the 1C appears to be so different from standard ISIS and the other two mod versions, is it worth having a temporary 5% club for it (though being that there are only 10 I guess it's already a 10% club :? ... but you know what I mean  ).
I admit it probably wouldn't be worth creating until at least one other person has it open else steve would be a bit of a loner in there on his own...
Then, when they're all open merge it into the standard 5% club...?
Maybe?

Chris

*cough*

Well, we know where the TEN 1Cs are...

But what about the 11th? Well, hopefully it's in a Citylink van on its way to Rutland!

Don't ask - I have no idea where this extra one came from, apparently there was a mistake in the office when they said that Darwin's was the last and they actually had another one in a different depot or something. Anyway, I've bought it, so it should be on its way to me soon!

I just really hope it *is* a 1C, as PUZZ said that there were only 9 (plus bluesign2K's). Jo at Sonicwarp assured me that it is the last 1C, but I don't see where it came from! Perhaps the 1Cs are like the clues: there are only 10 in the booklet and the ellusive 11th is hiding out there!

So yay :-) Add me to the list, and I will wait impatiently for it to arrive!
